Nandini was just staring at Manik who was busy reading a file. He was actually going to read the book but then his PA came and gave him some files.

Nandini was first surprised to him use glasses while reading but she thought they made him look more hot. She didn't tell him that though. Just thought to herself

"What?" Manik asked without looking up at her and for a second she was confused if he was talking to her.

"Yes I am talking to you" he said and looked up. "Kya puchna hai?" he asked removing his glasses.

Nandini cleared her throat and asked "Tum yaha kyu ho?"

Manik looked at her confused then he made a blank face and said "Ekam aur Hriday ko driver yaha layega. Main unhe yaha se pick karne aaya hu"

"But unn ki school chutne ke liye toh abhi bahut time hai" Nandini pointed out looking at him with a frown. But Manik chose nig to answer

"Tum yaha ky..." Nandini stopped as the door opened and a doctor walked in.

Manik thought it was some regular doctor visiting to check her but when Nandini smiled at the doctor Manik knew she knew who that doctor was

"Arey Doctor Vishal" Nandini greeted with a smile

"I just dropped by to check if you are feeling well" Doctor Vishal talked in a very calming, sweet tone which didn't sit well with Manik

"I am toh fine" Nandini said and Doctor Vishal gave her a box

Confused Nandini opened it to find a chocolate cake.

"Cake!" she said looking excited and before she knew it was taken she could even dog in.

Manik was standing extending the box back towards Vishal "She can't eat this. It's outside food" he said sternly

"It's not. I made it for her. Everything from scratch" Doctor Vishal said smiling at Nandini who was more concentrated on Manik and looking at him with a frown

"Yeah but she just had a surgery. She needs to et light. She just had lunch" Manik said

"I am a doctor. I..."

"Are you her doctor?" Manik cut him off before he finished it

"Sorry?" Vishal asked

"Are you her doctor?" Manik asked

"No, but..."

"It's settle then she is not eating this" Manik said closing the box

"But I..."

"Who is he?" Manik asked ignoring Vishal and turning to Nandini with an annoyed face.

"He is a doctor I know" Nandini said observing Manik

"Is he your friend?" Manik asked and Nandini hesitate but said "He is an acquaintance"

"So I definately know her better than you. She is not eating this cake" Manik declared looking at the guy

"Nandini likes cakes" Vishal said

"Oh she loves cake but she will not have one now" Manik now was losing his patience.

"Who are you?" Vishal asked on the brink of getting annoyed

"I am her husband" Manik said taking a step towards Vishal and it was so intimidating that Vishal took a small step back.

"Ex husband" Manik stopped and turned to hare Nandini who corrected him. Nandini was glaring at him too.

"Ohh you are Hriday's father" Vishal said and Manik turned to him "Nice to meet you" Vishal forward his hand but instead of shaking his hand Manik glared at him.
