Love.
My opinion on love was never accurate. For a while in life I had had times where I thought it was easy. If you loved a person, they'd love you back. Then you'd get married and have kids, then die together and have a happy ending like they did in children's fairytales.
Wrong.
All those stupid tales from when I was a kid spoilt my mind with ideas of love and death. I always had the belief that once two people were together or married, their love would last forever. But of course, as I continued to travel through my teenage years, I found out it was the complete opposite of what I thought it would be.
My friends had already gotten their lives into dating at the simple ages of fifteen, sixteen. Very often they would either last the short term of two to three weeks, or the other option, for girls, get pregnant and lose the father of their child. Then quit school.
I never went against their pregnancies. My parents often told me to start dating soon, as all the people in my class had done. Their lives and freedom were controlled by the boys from our or other classes. There were cases where some of the students from the school were reported missing, dead due to substance misuse.
I ignored all the dating chaos caused around the school. I was happy. Happy where I was, happy of the condition I was living in. Until I met Theo.
We were about twenty at the time. I liked him. He liked me. We started dating only after a few months of knowing each other. I was lucky I disagreed going to parties with him, god knows where my virginity would have went if I did.
After I had my own house, which my parents bought for me to 'monitor' me monthly, Theo often came to my house late at night after discos drunk.
And having a huge craving for sex. He always wanted it. Whenever he was drunk, mainly. I'd find myself in situations where I'd have to take him out with a weapon and drag his ass back home in my car.
Then Lando came at the right time. When I had fallen out of love because of his actions, I was invited to the McLaren Technology Centre for a full tour. Of course, after that, I fucked him.
What a casual way to say it.
I still have no idea about what gave us the thought to fuck each other up in the toilets in an unsensible way. Maybe we both had same mind that we needed each other.
Like usual, we needed each other too much. I watched him as he squirmed around in bed, the music playing calmly in my ears.
For the past few weeks that I had moved to Monaco, everything went well. Except for one thing. I had gotten at least ten calls a day from Theo, asking for forgiveness.
I went overboard at the same time as well. All the gifts that he gave me during the early times of our relationship I had shipped back to him to 'his' house. Voicemails of him crying into his phone and begging for mercy were heard.
I was afraid he would turn into a psychopath and flip out at Lando. Then he'd get hurt. I ran my fingers through Lando's hair, as he continued to sleep peacefully. I couldn't even describe the amount of excitement he felt when I had announced I would be going with him to the pre-season testing which would just be in a few weeks.
I closed my eyes and enjoyed the smooth flow of the music until a pair of hands snatched an earbud out. I looked down at a sleepy Lando, his eyes half open with a stupid grin planted on his face. "Morning love."
"You still have the stupid smile on your face," I leant down and planted a gentle kiss on his forehead. "I already cooked breakfast. I'll just reheat it for you after you fully wake up."
"You've already eaten?" He sat up slowly and shoved the other earbud into his ear. "Oh gods. Are you listening to that Tomlinson guy again?"
"Obviously," I rolled my eyes. "What do you expect? Charles?"
"I mean, his piano skills are recognisably... great?" Lando tried to compliment the Monegasque. "I'm going to get ready. You wanna stream today?"
"Actually..." I mumbled, thinking of all the drama that was caused recently. "I was thinking we could do it some time later. I've got a lot of documents to go through."
"You parents aren't disturbing you again, are they?" He wrapped his arms around me as I tried to get off of the mattress.
"Trust me, they aren't," I nodded. "They're not doing any harm. I just want to sort out all the emails Theo sent to me so I can delete them as soon as I can and block him. He's been blowing up my phone."
"You sort that out, I might go out for some spring rolls," He snapped his fingers. "Let's get going."

* L A N D O ' S P O V *"Food nice?"
I looked up to Olive, who had her earbuds in again. I nodded and finished up the rest of the omelette. Again, it might've been a good apology. She'd cooked me fish last night and we almost had a serious fight about it.
I snatched her phone away from her, and read out the words. "Heaven... Niall Horan. Now who's Niall? I thought you only listened to Louis!"
She let out a laugh. "Honestly! I listen to five people and several bands. We've been living together for quite a while now, do you not hear my singing?"
I have heard her singing before. From my perspective, she didn't need any adjusting like autotune to her voice. She sounded perfectly fine. Of course I heard her, then again, she sang out loud every afternoon that she was available to.
"I have. I just thought you only listened to Louis." I admitted, pushing my plate away like a child. "I want you to list them all out."
Olive sighed. "Fine. You've got Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne. For bands, we have One Direction, Five Seconds Of Summer and Backstreet Boys."
"Liam? The guy that went to the British Grand Prix in 2023 last summer?" I frowned.
"Yes, and Louis. He went to one in 2016, I think," Olive said. Suddenly someone knocked on the door. She started to stand up.
"You better sit down," I said, pointing to her seat. "I'll be getting the door." I opened the door, and mind you, I was still in my boxers and white shirt as a simple outfit.
In front of me was a middle-aged couple, the woman's face pale and white and the man's face red and awkward. I frowned at the pair as they gave me a brief and unfriendly smile. "Who are you?"
"We're not sure if you know us much, sonny," I scowled at the nickname. "We're Olivia's parents. We want to speak to her about something. Actually, not us." Their arms untangled and they separated from each other.
Theo had stood behind them the whole time. I felt a surge of anger through my veins, my hands curling up into fists. His mouth opened wide for a second, and shut it as he stoppd himself. "Yeah right, keep your mouth shut, bitch." I muttered under my breath.
I didn't know what to do.
I plunged straight into him as Olive's parents screamed in shock. I kicked and punched him and just beat him up out of nowhere. Suddenly he started to fight back as well.
Just about a few seconds later, a pair of hands pulled me away from the wrestling. Olive. I stood back up, my face feeling weak and wet. "What's gotten into you, Lando?"
"H-he ruined your life," I managed, panting. "And I have a weird suspicion I either have a busted lip or nose." She mustered a watery smile, her thumb wiping across my lip to remove the blood. I pressed mine onto hers afterwards, a small whimper coming from Theo.
"Come on, let's get you two cleaned up." She gave a knowing glance to Theo as she led us both in.
