Chapter three

Axel

As much as I protested, and knew/know it wasn't and isn't an option for me to miss the mandatory gang meet ups with all the rivalry gangs, I still tried. And to say Jake got annoyed is an understatement, because boy did I try.

The only one who is aloud to not go to those, and is actually not allowed to go is Connor because he is Jake's baby. He's made an exception tonight though, because now Colten isn't going, he's staying with Ava and Connor. Dammit I want to stay with Ava!

To say anything has changed between us is ironically stupid, because now we do a whole lot more. If you know what I mean, and no get your head out of the gutter, we haven't had sex or been that naughty. We just cuddle even more, and kiss, and ya know, know where we stand. And the happiness that bubbles up within me due to that is an amazing feeling, and god I'm turning into Jake.

" Yo we need to go lover boy." Jake called smirking as I rolled up my flannel sleeve just to my rose tattoos one on each forearm.

" Lover boy? Me? Dude I think you're talking about yourself cause I'm a man." I said, and as soon as the final word left my lips Jake put me in a head lock, and before either of us knew it we were full on wrestling just like old times.

" Hey you two! You have to go." Connor said while tapping his foot.

Immediately Jake got up, and kissed Ava's head, since she had come in the room as well, and then went and pecked Connor's lips. I followed suit by pecking Ava, and as a joke to keep the light mood I kissed Connor's head. Which earned me a few chuckles, a giggle, and a warning push.

" Colten you better take good care of those two!" Jake warned his voice becoming colder, and more sharp than ice.

" No offense boss, I may not be a Colten when it comes to intelligence but I'm not an idiot. I mean it's not just my brother, I have your lover and baby sister in my hands, and not to mention she's Axel's girlfriend too." Colten said causing me to laugh, which got me a warning glare from Jake, but I can tell he's trying hard to stay serious.

" Alright guys we need to go. Just be smart Colten." Jake said before we all left to head to The Marietta restaurant.

The twenty minute drive went pretty quickly, I mean any car drive goes quickly when you're in a camero, but this one went especially quickly.

Almost immediately Jake jumped out of the car, and started to angrily walk towards the restaurant. I ran to catch up.

" Um Jake shouldn't we wait for um I don't know, the rest of the gang?" I asked trying to get him to calm down.

" Axel don't use that tone with me." he growled.

Not wanting to start a fight, and do the opposite of what I'm trying to do, I simply sighed and ran a hand through my hair.

" Hello Jake." Garret the leader of the West side said. Garret is a 6'3 black kid, who is luckily an ally to us as well as the rest of his gang.

" Garret," Jake responded with a nod of the head, I followed suit, and returned a nod as well.

" Sorry we're late boss." Dex immediately said upon walking up to us.

" Save it, it's fine. Let's go I need to have a word with Samuel." Jake hissed.

" Jake we heard about what Sam did, I want you to know all the gangs are willing to help, but you need to remember we are not aloud to start fights here, or tonight for that matter." Garret warned before jogging back inside.

I started to walk with Jake inside, and the whole gang got in our typical formation, but it's pretty noticeable that someone is missing. I'm starting to think maybe we shouldn't have left Colten with Connor and Ava, that asshole makes his presence known and you can tell when he's not around. He also happens to be a key player during these meetings.

" Ah the Smokes so glad you could join us," Sam said smiling, causing my blood to no" boil.

" Axel keep in line." Jake whispered like he had not just been a raving mad man a few minutes before.

" Yes Samuel we're here. So sorry we missed you at the house, although I don't remember giving you an invite, I'm offering one now, if you have something to discus civically we can do it here, or at the mansion. We as in our gangs men to men, not you to my baby sister." Jake said calmly, and collectively. Jakes politeness caused some chuckles, causing Sam to frown, and Jake to smirk.

" I take your silence as a no then? That's fine Sam." Jake said before walking over to our usual table.

Connor

I hope Jake is okay, and the rest of the guys. Hopefully Axel kept him in line since they aren't aloud to fight tonight, oh god what if Jake tried to fight Sam?!

" Connor you're making my head hurt stop pacing." Colten begged while rubbing his temples.

" God forbid I'm worried." I hissed.

" Connor Hun it's Jake we're talking about he's smart, and a good leader it'll be okay. And plus no one likes Sam or his gang, they'll watch out for Jake. He wouldn't fight tonight. Honestly we're probably in more danger since Colten put pizza in the oven then them okay?" Ava asked, she's so good at calming people down, I don't know if it's the reasoning or her motherly tone but whatever it is it works.

" Hey I can cook a pizza!" Colten defended.

Right as he said that the fire alarm buzzed. We ran into the kitchen to see the pizza on fire in the oven, Ava ran to get the fire extinguisher while I beat it with a rag. Ava quickly put out the fire, causing us all to sigh in relief.

" Told you," she said giggling.

" So I guess pizza isn't an option." Colten said pouting.

" It's okay I'll make toast." Ava said smiling.

" God this girl with toast, I don't understand," Colten said while putting his head in his hands.

I really do wonder if I got all the brains. "I don't understand how you can't even make a pizza."

" You're gonna regret saying that Colten said before running at me, and picking me up on his shoulder.

I guess he got all the muscles while I got the brains.

He ran to the living room, and started to tickle me madly. " Stop! Ahh please! Uncle! " I yelled.

" What the hell is going on? Did something burn." Jake asked from the doorway while sniffing the air.

" No I don't know what you're taking about," Colten said before dashing up the stairs.
