"Is everyone ready?" Bud asked herding everyone together like sheep. They were about to get ready to perform.  They all left the house, one by one.
As they entered the green room, everyone rushed over to a vanity and started applying their makeup.

However, as pip was searching for her eyeliner, something fell on her hand. Who knows what it was, but it definitely hurt her.
"OW!" She cried clutching her wrist. All eyes were on her, everyone looked concerned.
"Hey, are you alright!?" Mimi asked, lowering her eyeliner pen. Pip sheepishly nodded. Obviously that was a lie. She was definitely not okay. She tried to finish her makeup but her hand was so hurt and shaky that she couldn't even hold an eyeshadow palette.
"Mimi..." Pip called out, hoping for a reply.
"Yeah?" Mimi replied.
"Can you finish my makeup off? Just this once?" Pip's voice was clearly shaky and broken, Mimi could definitely tell. Mimi slowly stepped over to pip's area, placing a chair opposite pip's.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Mimi asked reaching over to the purple eyeshadow. Pip looked down at her shoes. She hated being hurt or scared. But, most importantly, she hated hurting or scaring others.

"... Don't tell anyone..." she replied
"My lips are sealed!"
"My hand... it really hurts..." Mimi sighed. This isn't the first time Pip has bottled up her pain.
"Come on Pip! This happens every time! You're lucky I managed to get you to tell me, otherwise it could've gotten worse." Mimi complained applying the eyeshadow to pip's eyelids.
"I know! I just don't want to scare you..."
"You won't scare me,trust me, I helped the school nurse." Pip laughed a little through tiny droplets of tears. Mimi's 'school nurse volunteer' stories always comforted her, simply because Mimi's delivery made it funny.
"Speaking of you helping the school nurse... can you tell me one of your stories?" Mimi rolled her eyes.
"Fine! Only because you're injured."

[Story]
Okay, so, one time, I was just organising the asthma inhalers (as you do) and Mr.Smith (the literal HEAD OF PE) came running into the classroom! And when I tell you he was scared... Pip laughed a little; "I bet he looked horrified!" Mimi laughed to herself, remembering that poor guy's expression. "Yup! Anyway:" Mr. Smith was running into the office looking like he's just witnessed a failed heart surgery... those are pretty terrifying to be fair. "What's wrong?" The nurse asked. That man had to take FIVE MINUTES to catch his breath! Funniest part is, my older brother is asthmatic and he can catch his breath faster than that! Anyway, after that awkward five minutes, Mr.Smith said:
"A child in my year 9 class has just had his knee impaled by a rounders post!" Pip's jaw dropped. "Jesus! How is that even possible?!" Mimi just laughed under her breath before replying, "It's year 9, anything's possible... I thought you were a year 9?" Pip shrugged a little bit
"Fair enough, once my class gave a teacher a full on panic attack... we all got shouted at real bad..." Mimi grimaced a bit, year 9 students can be just as feral as year 7s sometimes. "Anyway, we're getting sidetracked again! Where were we... oh right!" So Mr.Smith told us about the year 9 impaling himself in the knee... and I stupidly said: "I'll be there asap!" So I grabbed a wheelchair and practically ran over to Mr. Smith's year 9 knee impalement victim. He was bleeding tons! I was surprised he hadn't fainted or died to be honest. I called an ambulance to take him away and me and his mate loaded him in the chair. He was in the hospital for weeks after that...
"Woah!" Pip stared at Mimi in awe, "How old were you?!" Mimi suddenly fell silent. She wasn't upset or anything, it was just a bit awkward talking about this stuff. "Eleven..." she replied. Being eleven and being able to handle an injured 14 year old is rather impressive. Pip definitely thought so.
"Anyway, are you still performing tonight?" Mimi suddenly asked.
"Of course!"
"Okay then... we best ice your wrist for a little while then."

[during the show]
The gang were all performing, everything was going fine, until Dude noticed something off about Pip's hand.
"Hey, Pip, your wrist is swollen a little..."
"Oh... it is... what do I do?"
"After the show, you and I are going to the doctors." Pip nodded and finished the show like the rest of the gang. When they got backstage, more of them noticed pip's wrist.
"Are you ok?!"
"Good lord, that looks very swollen..."
"Bud, it's not even that bad..."
"I know pip but, you get what I..."
"Guys!" Mimi shouted, nobody knew that Mimi could shout, they were so unaware that even Misty flinched, "Let's just... leave Pip alone, she doesn't need everyone else stressing over her!" The rest of the gang surprisingly obeyed her. Mimi then walked over to Pip and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, are you alright now?" Pip glanced over at Mimi and then started crying a little.
"Not really..." Mimi looked at Pip's hand and frowned.
"Your wrist seems to be getting worse huh..." she muttered, "Here. We'll head to the doctors now, don't bother talking to anyone, just walk."
Pip nodded an 'okay' and her and Mimi left.

The two girls managed to walk straight to the car park with little to no interruption. Once they stopped, Mimi pulled out her phone and went onto her mum's contact

[the call]
Mimi's mum: Hello?
Mimi: hi mum.
Mimi's mum: Oh! Hi Mimi! Is everything alright?
Mimi: no not really, my friend is hurt, not severely don't worry! But we need a ride to the doctors.
Mimi's mum: Awh, that's awful! I'll be as quick as possible!
Mimi: fabulous! Where are you working today?
Mimi's mum: Luckily enough, I'm working in Barnum so I'll be about 10 minutes, is that okay?
Mimi: That's fine thank you! Love you!
Mimi's mum: No worries darling. Love you too!
[Call ends]
Mimi hung up the phone call and turned to pip. "So, my mum is coming to pick us up in about 10 minutes, but knowing her she'll be early."
Pip laughed, while wiping tears from her face. Mimi sat down on the curb next to pip, who was lightly clutching her hand.
"Can I see your hand real quick?" Mimi suddenly asked. Pip slowly removed her hand letting mimi inspect it.
"Yeesh, it's like a light purple colour..."
"Is that bad?"
"Not fatal, but it is a common sign of a break or fracture."
"... what is a buckle fracture?"
"Random. It's like a fracture, more specifically, it's a small area of compressed bone, the bone will have a small fracture, so small it's hard to notice!"
"How can you tell then?"
"You just have to look very closely."
"Oh... do you think I could have one?"
"Maybe!" Mimi looked off into the distance, slowly zoning out. After a few minutes of silence, Mimi's mum pulled up in front of them.
"Girls! I'm here!" Mimi jumped up off of the curb and carefully pulled pip up too.

(AN: Mimi's mother's name is Gloria)

Gloria tried to create small talk with the girls to fill the awkward silence in the room. "Mum... not now please..." Mimi politely. Gloria sighed a little before pulling her full concentration on to the road. Mimi chose to stay in the back with pip, to comfort her, despite pip insisting she was fine and didn't need the comfort. Just minutes later, they pulled up to the doctors. Gloria offered to accompany them, but Mimi insisted it was fine.

The two teenagers waited about an hour before being called in. The doctor joyfully greeted them and sat them both down.
"So before we begin, which one is the parent?" Silence flooded the room... Mimi hadn't thought of this scenario, otherwise she would've accepted her mother's offer. She glanced at Pip before quickly answering with a "Me... I am..." Pip gave Mimi a 'what the hell?!' Look.
The doctor naively nodded before asking Mimi medical questions, Mimi answered almost perfectly. Giving responses with little to no hesitation. After 10 minutes of back and forth conversation between Mimi and this doctor, he finally asked, "So, what is the problem?"
Pip looked at Mimi hoping she'd answer for her.

"Pip, I know I'm pretending to be your mother but I'm not answering for you..."  Mimi muttered. Pip sighed.
"Something fell on my wrist..."  the doctor nodded again.
"Okay... I will give you an x-ray and we'll see how it goes from there." Pip nodded.

They did the x-ray and waited for the results to come through. 20 minutes later, those results came back.
"So, the good news is, your injury is not fatal... the bad news..."
"Yes?"
"What is it?"
"You have a minor buckle fracture in your Lunate, which is in the middle of your wrist."
"Called it!" Mimi mumbled. She then turned to pip to ask a question. "Are you still going to perform?"
Pip nodded. "Why wouldn't I?" Mimi shrugged then turned to the doctor.
"Will she need anything on her wrist?"
"Yes, just a hand bandage, it's that minor."
Pip let out a sigh of relief. If that's all she needs, she can still perform.

[later]
"Pip, why were you so relieved about wearing a hand bandage? It's a bit random..."
"Because, Mimi, I can still perform! If you think about it, this bandage looks like my normal glove, just a bit longer!"
"Good point actually..."
Mimi knocked on the door and Candi answered. Her face lit up to see Mimi and Pip back.
"Your back! Is everything okay?"
"Yeah!"
"Great! Come in, I'll go get dude, he was starting to worry about you!"
Mimi and Pip both sat on the sofa, extremely tired.Just as Mimi was about to nod off, Candi and dude came back into the room.
"Girls!" Dude shouted, "I was so worried about you!" Mimi couldn't help but laugh at dude as he pulled them both into a tight hug.
"Oh my god, dude! This is usually me! It's so weird having it the other way round..."
"Oh shut up you!" Dude replied. Mimi and Dude started laughing hysterically.
"I love you " Mimi told dude through laughter.
"I love you too babe!" Dude replied. Pip was stood basically between them, as if she was a third-wheeler.
"Nothing too intimate you too," Pip said, stifling laughter.
"Shut up!" Both Mimi and Dude shouted, now embarrassed. Pip only cackled before walking upstairs to the bedrooms.
"I'm going to see Misty" she said.
"Ooh! Okay! Nothing too intimate!" Mimi replied, her and Pip loved winding each other up about their love interests.
"Hey!" Pip replied, "If you're not careful I'm going to send my cat's kittens on you!"
The night ended with Mimi, Dude and Pip laughing so hard they started crying.
