Hiking

It was yet another boring Monday. Monday was usually the gang's day off. There were no shows on Mondays, nothing overly exciting or special at all. All the gang had to entertain themselves were their imagination and each other. Typically, having a group of 6 other people and a dog would be like heaven, however, having that every day can get really boring, especially when everyone has their own interests and rainbow has no sense of personal space whatsoever. One day, on a sunny Monday afternoon, the gang all found themselves in the living room together.
Dude and Sprout were playing 'super smash bros' together, Mimi was peacefully sewing, Pip was listening to music, Candi was stroking rainbow, Bud was ranting about the science of mechanical engineering and Misty was just doodling on her hand.

"Oh! You actually beat me this time!" Dude exclaimed. Sprout started laughing manically. Dude did nothing but roll his eyes.
"Hey, gang! Why don't we do something fun?" Dude asked.
"Dude, it's Monday. What fun could we possibly be having?" Mimi asked, taking her earbud out.
"Mimi does have a fair point, there isn't typically any interesting events on a Monday." Bud stated.
"And that's where my idea fits in!" Dude said excitedly, "We could go hiking!" The rest of the gang (besides Misty) all agreed that they had nothing better to do so "why not?" Misty, however, had a different opinion.
"Do we have to? Hiking is so boring!"
"Yes, Misty, we do have to," Pip sighed. Misty roll her eyes. If there was one thing she hated more than sand, it was hiking.
"Oh, come on! I mean, Pip, I thought you'd at least have my back on this!"
"Oh, Misty! Don't be ridiculous, hiking on such a nice day would be awesome."
"Not when there's a risk of someone suffocating you with a bag then burying you in a hole to rot for all eternity..." The room fell silent for a few seconds, that was extremely awkward...

"Okay, sure, Misty. That's not going to happen here in Bognor, is it?" Mimi said, rolling her eyes. Misty just shrugged and gave in to her protest against going hiking. "Fine, I'll go hiking then!"
"Great! It's settled then!" Dude said. Everyone calmly got up to get ready. Candi, however, stayed sat, her face painted with concern.
"What about pip? What if she hurts her hand again?" Pip chuckled at Candi's innocence before placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
"I'll be fine Candi! Trust me."
"Okay..." Candi replied.

After a few minutes, everyone was ready. They all met by the door and left.
They spent a good 20 minutes walking to a good hiking area, so once they got there, Misty and Sprout slumped against a tree.
"Oh finally! I am exhausted!" Sprout panted
"Agreed " Misty replied. Dude stepped in a few seconds after what seemed like some sort of revolutionary event to burst their bubble.
"Well, isn't this a rare occurrence! Well, come on! We still have the hiking to do!" He said, pulling both of them up. Misty rolled her eyes, sprout groaned a little.

The gang started walking up the hill, nothing seemed to have bothered them...
"What if someone gets hurt? There's a ton of... sharp rocks around here..." Mimi piped up, playing with her hair a little. Pip put a comforting hand on Mimi's shoulder. "I'm sure no one will get hurt, knock on wood, even if so, dude and I are on it, okay?"
"Okay..." the gang kept walking. Up, and up. Higher and higher every step. Everything was going just fine, no one was hurt...
"OW!"  Candi cried suddenly. Mimi buried her face in her hands. Pip looked between dude, Candi and Mimi nervously.
"You do Mimi I'll do Candi." Dude said. Pip nodded. She turned to Mimi, who was biting her nails a little.
"Look, Mimi, it's going to be fine, I just need you to stay calm for a second..." pip said as she gently lowered Mimi's hands away from her mouth.

"Candi, are you alright?" Dude asked, rubbing candi's back. Candi shook her head, clutching her hand. Dude looked at his pink friend sympathetically, trying to inspect her hand.
"Candi... can I see your hand please?" Dude asked. Candi looked at dude, doe-eyed before cautiously separating her hands, to reveal a nasty cut on her right hand.
"Oh my god... that looks awful!" Dude stated a little louder than he wanted. Mimi heard this statement and, as one would, she looked at the awful thing, and, much to her dismay, her eyes were met with two hands covered in blood.
"Mimi..." pip said, knowing what was about to happen.
"Yeah...?" Mimi stuttered playing with her hair again. Pip slowly put her hand on Mimi's shoulder, as an attempt to console her. However, Mimi gently nudged her away.
"S...sorry. I think it's best if you just..." Mimi then covered her mouth and ran back down the path they arrived on. Pip sighed before turning to dude. Giving him a look of concern and sympathy. Dude returned the same look and walked down to follow Mimi.
