05| Meet/Friends

"Good morning ma'am. Will you be joining us today?" My PA Mia asked through the phone.

"No I'm still not at my best, just do me a favour and meet me at Dinkins Cafe at noon. Please bring my laptop in the top right drawer of my desk. Thank you."

"No problem Dr. D." She said then hung up.

I lazily got out of bed and did some chores around the house before taking a bath, it was already 11:00 am. I went to my closet and chose a backless burgundy crop top, high waist jeans pants, and burgundy heels.

I grabbed my keys and headed out to the cafe. I'll just have breakfast there, within the next fifteen minutes I arrived and my secretary had already texted that she was waiting inside.

"I also bought the marketing development files in case you wanted to go over them for the meeting next week on Tuesday." She handed over my laptop with a file on top.

"Yes, you my dear a lifesaver," I commented.

"Is everything okay at the hospital?".

"Yes, everyone is behaving. However you have been receiving a call from Mr. Valentino, who said he's in the country for another two days and would like to meet with you".

"I'll handle that" meeting with my father-in-law. Yahoo

"I'll go back to the office now. Goodbye".

"Okay see you then and update me during the day on what's going on".

I didn't even realize what time it was until I looked at my watch. I've been going through the file for the past three hours at the same spot where Mia left me. Packing up my things I heard someone calling my name.

"Vanessa".

"Nathan, hi"

"It's been a while. How have you been?". He was still the sexiest guy I have ever seen.

I thought I wouldn't see him again after that night. We met at the club when I stormed out of my parent's house and met the girls. We all went to the dance floor enjoying ourselves when a little fight broke out, he dragged me back to his chest when one of the guy's fists almost hit me. Accidentally of course, after they were dragged I thanked him and went to the bar for more drinks He followed me and said that he would only accept thanks from me if I took him out to dinner I however thought of a better idea and we ended up at my place and did adult things.

"Good" I answered, he took a seat in front of me and placed his cup down with his phone.

"You still owe me for dinner you know" I laughed at that.

"I remember, how are you?" I asked

"I'm good, just heading for training but can I get your number before I leave?". He asked

He gave me his phone and I inserted my number with my name, he rang my phone and I saved his.

"I have to go but it was nice seeing you and staying out of trouble".

"Can't promise anything". I shouted at him

"I'll text you" he put his phone in his hair shaking it

Hospital
Same day

"Whose patient was sitting?" I asked looking at the records.

"I was Dr. D"

"I thought I had doctors working here, not children. How can you mess up when you are dealing with one patient, you better pray to God that she will be okay and they won't sue us, 'cause then will I sue you?". I won't but you have to make them scared.
