We were now at the top of the stairs and Adriana told me that we should wait for our names to be called and then to proceed walk down the stairs.  There were a few more persons there including Xavier, and Vincent, a little Taylor who immediately ran into me when she saw me coming.  I stoop down to her level and embrace her into a hug that leaves the both of us smiling ear to ear.

I have no idea how I have made myself so attracted to her but I know I do not regret it one bit.  We only met this morning and the bond that we made when getting to know each other felt like a lifetime.

Thinking about our bonding, I wonder if she and her mother have this kind of relationship.  Who is the mother anyway?

I have always been adored by children and I love them.  They are just so cute, and playful, and most give a lot of trouble but the way they develop and grow into the adults they are is worth it.

"Mo- Vanessa, I'm glad you're here.  I thought you would have made it until I saw you at the party but when I was going to come to you, the guards said something to you, and then you went upstairs and I thought you did want to talk to me and-" she kept on ranting and looking at everyone faces I can tell they were amused by her chatting away.

"Okay okay, breath.  I'm sorry I didn't greet you first but I had to meet up up with Daddy and your grandparents.  Of course I wanted to come talk to you who wouldn't hmm?"

"Look you're wearing the same necklace as me" she squealed pointing to the heirloom that Alexander had given me.  I was to wear it until after the wedding when I would get the tattoo, a rule for every Valentino.  I had no problem with it since this is a lifetime marriage, I already have a tattoo so what one more, I respect family traditions.

Alexander gently dragged us to the side and bent to one knee, he took out a holster and instructed me to put my foot in, when I did he took out two beautiful black knives and place them in side.

"I'm not going to always be where you are, so if anything happens try already to defend yourself until I am there or anyone from my family" I rolled my eyes at his parebtal instinct but found it cute

"I am not a kid Alexander" he looked up at me with an annoyed expression and said nothing.  "I know no one there and I will not be talking to strangers and I am pretty sure you will have your guards watching me like a hawk and I may have remembered some defense move" I said to a least try an ease his worries...at least I think that what it is.

But he does not need to, I will probably be by Taylor side all night.

"Just stay where I can see you"

By the time he was done talking, it was time for the family to be announced, first, it was Mr. Antonio Valentino, Mrs. Andriana Valentino, Axel Valentino his brother, and who would look like they were both twins by the way, then it was Taylor, Xavier, Vincent then Alexander and me.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the Valentino's have a special guest tonight who will soon be joining their family as Alexander wife, so let's give a warm welcome to Miss. Vanessa D'Angelo" applause and cheers were going around the room.  I let out a breath and descended down the stairs where I see Alexander holding out his hands for me to take, I did and he led me to where his family was in front of everyone.

As Alexander's eyes follow Vanessa down the stairs he waited for her with arms stretched out, he couldn't help but remember the first time he met her in Italy after a week of coming back from a trip with his father.
