Chapter 6: Oreos and Dweebs
I think I just peed my own pants. Actually, I think almost everyone peed their own pants. The look on Jake and Declan's face is just indescribable.
"Jake? Declan? What are you doing here?" I asked them. They didn't even look my way.
"We may not know you, but we've known Camille long enough to know when she's uncomfortable. Obviously, she seems uncomfortable, so I suggest that you just back away from her." Jake said rather calmly, but I've had enough experience to know that when boys seem 'calm' they really are just pissed off.
"Yeah, we don't like it when someone messes with one of us." Declan said, crossing his arms over his chest to make him look even more intimidating.
It was working.
"Now now, I'm no harm, I'm only here for my best friend. Right Camille?" Anthony smirked.
"Um. Can you excuse us for a second." I asked. I didn't wait for them to answer and dragged Anthony into the house.
Once inside the house I turned around and glared at Anthony.
"Who do you think you are?! I mean seriously! You can't just practically make your best friend an enemy and leave, then come back and expect them to forgive you!"
He held his hands up in mock surrender and smirked. "Please. You soon will be begging me to be your friend. I'm only going to help you."
I have him a confused look and blinked a couple of times.
"Your 'friends' aren't your real friends. I'm your real friend." He said.
"You were."
The door bursted open and The boys appeared with worried expressions. I looked at all the boys, contemplating if I should trust them and if what Anthony said was true. Now that I know them I can't really imagine a life without them. I mean, they've come to be my best friends, actually my only friends.
"We heard Camille yelling and thought she was in trouble." Jai spoke up.
Anthony scoffed,"Camille, are you going to believe this act? I know more about her then you guys do. If anyone should be worried, it should be me."
"Really? We know more about her then you do. We know what her likes and dislikes are. Favorite movie. What she liked to do when she was little. How she was afraid of water and-" Declan was cut off by Anthony.
"About how her parents died?" I stiffened and turned to look at Anthony who had a tiny smirk on his face which only angered me more.
"Get. Out. Now." I spoke in a low tone, emphasizing each word. I was glaring hard daggers an hoping he would die if I glared hard enough.
Anthony simply shrugged and walked towards the door, but stopped. "Oh and Camille, be warned." He smiled a sickly smile then brushed past the boys who were glaring more daggers his way.
The door slammed shut, leaving the boys and I. I didn't care about that, I only cared on what the boys would say. I just can't believe Anthony had the guts to say that.
"Your parents died?" Conner asked scratching the back of his neck.
I averted my gaze towards the ground and nodded slowly.
"We're so sorry." Jai and Luke both whispered in unison as they both embraced me in one of their famous hugs -Fake hugs at that.
Soon I was embraced by all the boys and was surrounded by their 'soothing' words.
Jake then pulled me into a hug and then pulled me arms length apart. Slowly he lifted his hands to my face with caution almost as if I was going to run away. He then wiped away tears I never knew existed.
"Look we know it may be tough on you, but we are here for you." He whispered. The tone in his voice made me wonder if everything Anthony said was real.
"I know." I smiled earning him to crack a smile along with the boys.
"Lets all just forget this happened
And settle down with some movies or tv." Jai said after a moment of comfortable silence.
All of us nodded in agreement then made our way towards the living room. We all settled on the couch and turned on the tv.
3 hours later and we are all sprawled out on the floor. No one had made a move to get up for the past 5 minutes. Finally I got up and stared at all the boys.
"Come on, lets get up." I ordered, but no one made a move. I then heard a light snore and knew the boys were all asleep.
"I got Oreos." Jake shot up and walked towards the kitchen without a second glance so I followed him.
He was already scarfing down the Oreos almost halfway done. He looked up at me and gave me a sheepish grin showing me all of the Oreo crumbs in his teeth. Honestly, he looked cute in a childish way. I then noticed there was only one Oreo left and he has yet to eat it.
"Can I have it?" I asked.
"No."
I raised an eyebrow at him and went for the Oreo anyways. He quickly grabbed my hand and snatched the Oreo before I could.
"Please?"
"No, it's mine."
"You had like 30 already! Sharing is caring!" I half-yelled.
"Not in my world it isn't." He smirked.
I snatched the Oreo out of his hand an stuffed it in my mouth and watched as he stared at me wide eyed.
"Ha ha! I got the last one!" I danced in victory.
"Yeah you got the last one but not the ones before that huh? I had the whole box except that one." He bragged sticking out his tongue childishly.
Oh boy is he hot or what?
Nope he's just hot.
"Whatever dweeb." I mumbled. Jake caught my wrist and pulled me down on his lap causing me to gasp.
Lazily he whispered in my ear, "Only your dweeb though."
