"I sat with my anger long enough, until she told me her real name grief"
- C.S Lewis

October 1995

Anastasia sat quietly drinking her coffee with her eyes closed as she was still half asleep. Hermione sat next to her trying to enjoy her breakfast but was clearly distracted by Ron's eating and Harry was completely zoned out staring at his breakfast.

This had become the Gryffindors group usual routine for the last week, however it would be interrupted this morning with the sound of shouting voices.

Everyone's attention had snapped to the main hall door to see where the racket was coming from even Anastasia opened one eye to see what all the commotion was about.

"Pardon me, Professor but just what are you insinuating?" A voice shrieked

Nearly every students had gotten up at this point and made their way out of the great hall to see what was going on.
All the students gathered around Professor
McGonagall and Umbridge who were currently arguing on the stairs.

"I am merely requesting that when it comes to my students, you conform to the proscribed disciplinary practices"

Anastasia's eyes snapped to Hermione after McGonagall's  last comment, she continued staring at the girl for a few seconds before looking back to the professors.

"So silly of me, but it sounds like your questioning my authority in my own class room, Minerva" Umbridge interjected.

"Not at all, Dolores. Merely your medieval methods" McGonagall retorted.

Umbridge let out a exaggerated sigh clearly annoyed by McGonagall's defiance.

"I am sorry, my dear. But to question my practises is to question the ministry and by extension the minister himself. I am a
tolerant woman but the one thing I
will not stand for is disloyalty"the hag began to rant clenching her jaw, clearly trying to calm herself down.

McGonagall took a step back from her as she finished her rant clearly dishearten.

"Disloyalty?" she interrupted her.

Umbridge went up one of the steps she was stood so that she was now overlooking all the students
"Things at Hogwarts, are far worse than I feared. Cornelius will want to take immediate action" She screeched, before she quickly made her way up the stairs.

"So you told McGonagall then" Anastasia spoke up still staring at where the pink hag had just disappeared from.

"Ana please I had to, she can't be allowed to get away with that" Hermione tried to point out.

"But she did get away with it" the brunette Gryffindor let out a dry laugh still not looking at Hermione.

"Ana you know Mione was just trying to help" Ron spoke up trying to get Anastasia to understand.

But Harry was staring at the girl, he didn't bother to say anything. He know their was no point in trying to justify anything or even argue with her because if Anastasia was one thing it was stubborn and to make the matter worse clearly Ron and Hermione weren't paying enough attention to the girl because her pupils were black , void and empty.  There really was no arguing with her when she was like this, Harry watched her face and his heart began to hurt because he didn't know what to do when she was like this or why Anastasia had her Occlumency walls up so much recently.
She had rarely done in the past but recently to Harry it seemed like a frequent occurrence for her to do.

What Anastasia said was true though, there had been no point in telling McGonagall about what Umbridge had done because by the end of the day Umbridge had become the Hogwarts High Inquisitor, she now held far to much power then any of them could have imagined.
