Seungcheol's POV
Sigh... Another day at the office. Nothing to look forward to besides seeing my friends Mingyu, Vernon, and Soonyoung. Or at least when our schedules align. But I should be grateful for what I have, right?
I mean, I have a nice home though I do wish that my roommate, Soonyoung, would be a bit more neat. I at least have Mingyu in the workplace— Vernon and Hoshi work different jobs from us. Everything is alright I guess but...
I just wish I had something more to look forward to... or someone.
"Cheol, d'you finish the paperwork yet? The manager's literally breathing on my neck for it." Says Mingyu as he peaks into my cubicle. "Layoff bastard- it was your lazy ass that literally begged me this morning to get this shit done in the first place!" I yelled in frustration.
"Ahh, chill hyung. Jeez but you know I have other shit to do and besides..." There was a pause and I glanced at him, "...This shit is important and... Oh! I owe you a beer, hehe." He smiled while scratching the back of his head. "Damn right" I glared.
After a long day's work me and Mingyu exit the office together and enter the elevator.
"So hyung, have you caught any dates yet?" Mingyu asked, smirking, "No genius. At this rate, I'm practically married to my work." I sigh. Mingyu frowns at my response, "Well that's no good. I keep telling you to put yourself out there!~" I pout, "How can I when I have no time?!" Mingyu then softly elbows me, "Then you should manage your time like me! I mean, sure I have no one but at least I've been trying!"
He's got a point. Maybe I should try and branch out. I'm an attractive guy... right?
I turn to Mingyu, "I just haven't found the one for me, you know?" Mingyu nods; I continue, "Like it'd be interesting to date but I doubt anyone would be my type."
"Oh yeah. You've dated all sorts of people before but it never really worked out..." I nod, "Exactly. None of them were my type and I just don't feel like I have the energy right now. Mingyu starts giggling, "It's cuz you're getting old right?" I gasp and thwack him on the head.
"And not another word from you; I'M STILL YOUNG! ...anD STILL FINE!" Mingyu pouts with a small tear in his eye due to his 'Tom & Jerry-esque' boo-boo on his head. "Owww... ok... I just hope you find someone some day so that you're not lonely." He said while rubbing his bump.
So that I'm not lonely, huh? That's sweet of him. I guess I am lonely and on top of that, it's not like I'm progressing much in my life anyways.
After Mingyu bought us some beers we decided to take walk downtown. As we're walking we see all sorts of people. "Make sure you're eyeing out for some potential soulmates~" says Mingyu while rubbing his hands together. I just shrug, "Eh, we'll see."
Downtown is real nice and relaxing when you have nothing else better to do in your life cuz it at least keeps you busy. Well, at least for me. Mingyu keeps talking to everyone we just so happen to bump into. "Hey hyung shouldn't I be a wingman for you?" He asks with visible sparkles in his eyes. I shrug yet again, "Nah, I'm good." He pouts cutely, "You're no fun! Hmph!" He crosses his arms and proceeds to talk to another person. Giant puppy...
As I wait for him to return, a young boy approaches me with a flyer.
"Hello sir, please accept this flyer."
The flyer reads: Special services and wishes granted by your demon. We do what you want and can get anything done for you~ Special contracts can be given to those especially chosen. Your demon is here for your enjoyment and protection.
The hell...?
The boy just hands me the flyer before I could say anything. I'm baffled. He starts staring at me funny.
