I changed my clothes and had the maid style my hair five different times. For some reason staring at the group of Keyan people coming through the gates from my balcony, I smirked. I would finally see her again. As I walked to my mother's chambers many thoughts floated through my mind.

Did Queen Jasmine even bring her daughter? If she left her then what would I do? How will she look? It had been two years since I saw her on that battlefield. For some reason, I hope she hadn't changed. "Mother" I called out. Two maids opened the double doors and she came walking out.

She wore a dazzling orange dress that lingered on the floor. "Luca" she smiled. She held my elbow as we walked together. "I have had the banquet hall decorated and the tables are ready," my mother said proudly. "Thank you for accepting this. I know you didn't think this was a good idea". "I still don't. However, I trust you son". I smiled as my mother held my face.

She coughed straightening her posture. I turned looking at the doors then nodded to a guard. "King Luca and Queen Mother" the announcer introduced. I lead my mother and me to our thrones. I sat and looked over the guards from Kenyan. My eyes steady on Queen Jasmine, a guy off her shoulder and beside him the girl.

My breath hitched at the sight of her. She still had her gorgeous brown hair but it was longer. It stopped at her hips in curly wavy locks.
Her physique was smaller, more toned than before. It looks like she focused on training which would explain the tanned skin. However, the subtle changes made me want her more.

I tear my eyes away looking back to her mother. "Queen Jasmine" I smiled. "Thank you for coming" I spoke. "Thank you for having us". My eyes averted to see my girl clench her jaw.
I smiled inwardly at her reaction however that was short-lived. When the man in between the queen and my girl moved his hand. My eyes sharpened watching him hold her hand that was placed behind her back.

My girl's jaw unclenched and she relaxed. I jump from my seat causing the Kenyan guards to grow tense. "Why don't our maids show you to your rooms and we may start the feast" I said with a fake smile. Queen Jasmine nodded and whispered to the guy beside her. He nodded and my girl followed her mother. Not before giving me a death glare.

I stared at her until she left. After, I watched the man who touched my girl order the Kenyan guards around. He must be their army commander. I couldn't hide my disdain from the ginger standing in front of me. I could take him down with a single arrow. "Son" Mother called. I stepped to the side near her seat. "Why are you looking at that young men liked that"? "Like what" I gritted out.

"You wanted to do this. Work with them. You need to set an example. You're looking at that boy like you want to kill him" my mother said in our native tongue. I sighed she was right. I watch the ginger leave with the rest of his miniature army. "Let us go to the hall". I nodded following her but I couldn't stop the boiling anger that sat in the pit of my stomach.

An hour later the Kenyan people and some of our soldiers flooded in. We could tell everyone hadn't warmed up. Our people had sat on one side while the Kenyan people sat on the other. I tapped on the table waiting for my girl. The queen came in and her daughter was beside her. The ginger went to one of the regular tables. I stood up holding out my hand to the two open chairs.

We sat away from everyone at a more grander table as my mother would say. "I hope your journey was easy" my mother smiled at Queen Jasmine. "It was and your home is quite beautiful" Queen Jasmine complimented. The girl beside her stayed quiet looking around the room. Her mother coughed trying to edge her to say something.

I hoped she would Hoping to hear her voice.
The girl closed her eyes and then opened them back up. "Yes, your home is quite beautiful," she said straining a smile. Her voice was like illustrious silk and sent a heat wave to my crotch. "And you are," I asked. Her long lashes flicked up as she looked at me. Those eyes there were cold intense, dark like the bowels of hell. They were so mesmerizing that I never wanted them to look at anyone else but me.

"This is Princess Yala my daughter" Queen Jasmine revealed. "I thought I remembered you" I exclaimed. I could see rage set upon her face however before she could do anything a loud sound came from the entrance.

"DEATH TO ALL FETIERE" A man yelled.
