SURVIVAL - A CHANLIX STORY

Felix didn't know why, but felt kinda sorry for the assh*le, somehow not feeling a threat from him. Then he decided to help him park his car at the back of the orphanage where the kids play and covered it with a big plastic cover.

Chan was already carrying his duffle bag and when he was about to place his glock inside, Felix frowned by stopping him with one hand, "Either that stays in the car or you don't come in " he stated agitatedly. Chan exhaled sharply then placed it back in the car glove compartment, locking it.

Chan followed Felix like a lost puppy, checking his car and any one lurking around, until they entered the back side of the orphanage leading to the kitchen. There was awkward silence and Chan decided to break the ice.

"So... are you all by yourself?", Chan asked with a smirk. Felix rolled his eyes while locking the door, "No, there are 3 adults my age, including me who guard in shifts. Two are already asleep since they've already done their shifts, and I was just finished with my shift when I saw your car", he stated irritatedly.

"We also have 10 kids from 1years to 12 also leaving here, and 6 nuns running the home, who at the moment are all away meeting with the pope for a whole night's prayer, MEANING... you must be gone by the morning!", he pushed the grinning Chan out of the way, while heading towards the fridge...

"Are you hungry, should I make you something?", Felix asked still frowning at Chan who just reliezed he never ate since he wrestled with his father and gave Felix a nod before taking a seat by the counter.

"How many robberies have you guys had in this orphanage?", he asked Felix who glanced at him bewilderedly before raiding the fridge. "I asked you a question pretty?", Chan said with his head tilted.

Felix furrowed his eyebrows glancing at him again, "Why... you wanna rob us too?", he enquired with his hands on his hips. "No... it's just that my baby (Bugatti) is sleeping outside... Plus.. I've heard of an orphanage being robbed by thieves a couple of times and I thought maybe this might be it. Ooh...can I please have that ham, cheese and lettuce on my sandwiches please", he asked with a grin while pointing inside the open fridge.

It was quite for a while before Felix responded while sorting out his sandwiche, "Yes, We've been robbed before, twice this year", he answered with sadness in his voice before handing him the sandwich which Chan thanked before furrowing his eyebrows, "How could they rob an orphanage, is there money kept here?", he questioned him while taking a chunk at the sandwich.

Felix hummed before answering, "We get donations from people, churches, online, but I just couldn't get why the robbers always come when the donations are higher", he said thinking to himself before facing Chan with a suspicious look, then pointed a knife at him.

"ARE YOU ONE OF THEM?", "he whisper yelled angrily at Chan who choked on his sandwich, causing Felix to widened his eyes at making him choke. Felix quickly placed the knife on the counter before standing behind Chan's broad shoulder blades to give him abdominal thrusts (known as the Heimlich maneuver).

Felix did those for about 3 times when Chan swiftly turned with a grin placing the knife on his neck, while also pulling him closer by the waist with his other hand, "Never leave a weapon unattended pretty", he said looking closer to the now sweating and nervous looking Felix.

Chan gazed closely at his ethereal beauty, "Damn, you really are gorgeous", he said before handing the knife back to Felix, who took it before pointing it back at Chan angrily.

"Get OUT!", he shouted at Chan who took a bite at his sandwich ignoring him. "I said Get Out"! he repeated while Chan rolled his eyes at him, "I may look all bruised up and sh*t, but me and my gang don't go around robbing orphanages and churches, I still love my life, and sorry if I scared you, just pay a bit more attention next time ", he said with an eyebrow raised.

Felix angrily wiped off the sweat on his forehead before harshly packing back the ingredients into the fridge. "So any one between you three adults, the nuns or kids got hurt during these robberies?", Chan decided to continue with the interrogation. "What's it to you, if you didn't do it?", Felix snapped at him.

"Wow.. Wow,.im really sorry about the knife thing pretty". Felix abruptly stopped what he was doing and pointed the knife again at him, "Call me pretty one more time and I'll make you eat this knife instead!", he snapped again.

Chan, smirked at his sassyness, liking it, before raising both his hands up in surrender, "Okay I'm sorry Felix, it's just that something's not adding up with these robberies, I'm just a good thinker, that's why my asshole of a father beat me up mostly every day to force me into his law firm, ", he said finishing his sandwich then gulping down some juice.

"Your father...did that... to you?", Felix asked feeling sad pointing at his bruises. "Don't worry about it Prett...I mean Felix, anyways, back to you, has anyone gotten hurt during these robberies?", he continued the interrogation, making Felix roll his eyes in frustration.

"Gosh what's with you and these questions, they never touched the kids...(he paused) only... Han and Abigail who rotate night shifts with me, that's why they made me do the last shifts now", he said with wondering eyes.

"And what are the nuns doing about it, are they here when this happens?", he enquired again. Felix thought for a moment before answering, "Come to think of it, these robberies always happen when the nun are out with the pope or volunteering in some shelters", he said while biting his nail.

Chan nod his head thinking, "Do the cops always patrol or...", he inquisitively asked. "Yes, but these robberies usually happened after they'd left. That's why after... Abigail who was the second victim, the nuns finally placed an alarm system, I think we safe...for now. And enough with the questions chatter box and let's go make your bed before you wake up the sleeping kids", Felix said turning to go up some flight of stairs, while Chan followed with a worried look to him.
