Chapter 1: Introduction

During the Taisho era, the war between demons and humans continue. The ubuyashiki still have a goal to annihilate all the demons on planet earth.

The current leader of the ubuyashiki is Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the 97th leader of the demon slayer corps.

The current leader of the demons is a man named Muzan kibutsuji, the father of all demons.

In a hill close to a village lives a happy family, the kamado family. They are a happy family, just your average household. The eldest son is named Tanjiro kamado

He would sell charcoal to support his family as their father had passed away.

Life was pleasant for the family, until the day came marking the eventual downfall of the demons.

On a snowy day Tanjiro Kamado like usual went to sell charcoal in the village leaving his family.

When he was returning from the village, the sun was already setting signaling the night.

An old man called out to Tanjiro asking him to stay. After a bit of debating Tanjiro eventually accepted the deal and decided to spend the night in the old mans hut.

As the morning came Tanjiro soon returned again to his family.

However something was different, he smelt blood. Tanjiro quickly rushed to the house as the smell of blood became denser.

When he reached the top of the snowy hill where his family lived, he was hit with the shock of his life.

Before him, was the dead body of his sister and baby brother. As he looked inside his house, he saw the dead remains of his mother,sister and brother.

Suddenly as if a wolf was inside, a human figure lunged at Tanjiro.

Tanjiro swiftly moved grabbing the basket in his hands as he managed to block a kick from the mysterious figure.

The basket immediately broke on impact tho it did protect Tanjiro from the kick.

Tanjiro quickly dashed at a nearby tree where sticks and rocks lay which could help him in this confrontation.

As Tanjiro smelt the aroma of the mysterious figure lunging at him, for a split second he thought to himself that the smell, even if a tiny bit, resembled that of his younger sister Nezuko.

Tho it didnt really matter wether it was Nezuko or not, the point is Tanjiro's life was in danger and he wasnt going to let his emotions lead to his downfall.

Instinctively Tanjiro managed to swiftly move out of the way before he would get pinned.

As he faced the creature his eyes widened ever so softly, as he finally saw the creature in clear view

It was indeed Nezuko Kamado.

"Nezuko?" Tanjro thought looking at his sister. Nezuko had sharp teeth and even fangs, she had large claws and she didnt look like herself.

At this moment 3 thoughts were floating in Tanjiro's mind

"Who killed them?" "How did Nezuko become like this?" And "How am I going to survive??"

Tanjro know well that he had to act fast or he may die, he also had to think of how to calm Nezuko.

Nezuko was all Tanjiro had so he couldn't just kill her.

Suddenly a thought arised in Tanjiro's mind, his fathers katana. His father's katana was kept safely in a room inside his house. If he could just get to it, maybe he could both survive and maybe deal with Nezuko.

He had to act quick however because Nezuko was as unpredictable as it gets.

Both of them stare at each other, Tanjiro's eyes filled with determination while Nezuko's eyes were filled with hunger.

Swiftly, Tanjiro dashed at the side of his house as Nezuko followed.

Nezuko analysed that Tanjiro must be planning of jumping on to the roof with the help of a few huge stones.

Nezuko jumped aiming to crush Tanjiro's heart.

Unlucky for her, instead of trying to jump onto the roof, Tanjiro broke the window with his feet as he entered his house, now Nezuko was at a disadvantage.

The shattered glass scratched and pierced Tanjiro's skin as his face and clothes were now covered in blood.

A piece of glass managed to get into Taniro's eye.

Now Taniro was forced to only fight with 1 eye.

Taniro dashed at the living room and quickly managed to lock himself in a room as Nezuko tried figuring out how to enter the house.

Tanjiro managed go grab a hold of his father's katana. Now with some extra time he had to come up with a quick plan on how he is supposed to survive and also not kill Nezuko.

With the short introduction he got to the new Nezuko he figured out he out scored her in speed,intelligence and battle iq. Tho he also figured out that Nezuko had far greater strength,power and durability. Perhaps even more stamina Tanjiro thought.

It was clear Tanjiro couldnt beat Nezuko on his own. More over he suddenly begun to wonder.

"The description of those mythical demons fits that of Nezuko, emotionless,restless,urge to kill,hunger for human flesh."

But it cant be, demons are just a myth right?

Tanjiro often heard stories of demons but he never believed them.

Tanjiro always acted like he understood but in reality he always felt annoyed at these "obvious fake" demon stories

If demons were real then why dosent everyone know about it? He always thought.

Surely demons are false. But, their description fits that of Nezuko. Tanjiro thought

He suddenly came up with a plan, he was going to see if it really is true that Nezuko is a demon and demons do truly exist, he was going to see if they do truly eat human flesh.

He was going to test this hypothesis. So far she only tried killing Tanjiro, perhaps she felt threatened, but would she actually try and eat human flesh?

Tanjiro was going to put that to the test as he came up with a quick plan.
