Josephine POV:
Something strange is happening. After a group of gunmen stormed the school and killed all the innocent people they could find, we saw a large vehicle arrive. We thought it was the tactical army or the police or some kind of rescue team that came to help us. We were hiding on the roof of a building, watching them from the ledge. But they were not here to save us.
They are wearing tactical black suits, fully armed with sophisticated weapons. They started shooting at the gunmen, who were outnumbered and outmatched.
They were so strong and ruthless, they easily wiped out the entire gang. They were only ten of them, but they faced perhaps three times as many enemies.
I can't take it anymore. I have to do something. I stand up and shout for help at the top of my lungs. "We are here, help! Please, help us!"
I hope that someone will hear me and come to our rescue. But Noah quickly pulls me down under the ledge, where we are hiding.
"Are you insane?" he snaps at me. "What if they aren't the police? What if they are the ones who did this?"
Liam nods in agreement. "Yeah, what if they are some kind of secret agents or terrorists or something? They don't look like any cops I've ever seen."
I realize that they are right. I have made a terrible mistake. I have alerted the men to our presence. And they have heard me. They are coming up to the roof to find us. And they don't look friendly.
Noah pulls me closer, whispering urgently, "We need to figure out who they are and what they want. Stay quiet until we know more."
Liam nods in agreement, his eyes darting between the injured Jayden.
I hold my brother's hand then carry it to my heart. "try to bear it," I whispers "you've always been the strongest, big brother."

They came to the roof and found us hiding behind a pile of bricks.
Three men and an Asian woman, all wearing suits that looks like they are made of metal, have strange devices on their wrists and belts.
One of the men takes out something from his belt that looks like a gun, but it isn't. He points it at our necks.
He was about to shoot when the woman stops him. "Not that one," she says, pointing at Jayden, who is lying on the ground, wounded by the gunmen. "Don't shoot that one, he won't bear it."
"No," I'm trying to say shaking my head "No, please."
The man nods and lowers his device. Then he raises it again and shot the rest of us, one by one. Noah, Liam, and I.
Jayden
