You, Toji, and Megumi finally enter the room at the end of the hallway to find the old man, your mother and your father sitting at a desk. This must've been Naobito's office. The desk was surrounded by shelves filled with hundreds and hundreds of books, and pictures of what must've been of other members of the Zen'in family adorned the walls too, alongside some house plants.

"Just in time, Y/N." Your father says. "The marriage proceedings have just been finished, the wedding is set for three days from now."

"Three days!?" You and Toji both exclaim simultaneously.

"Mhm," Naobito nods. "Is there a problem?"

"What about wedding planning, the venue, the food? Weddings usually take months to plan." You ask the man.

He shakes his hand in the air dismissively and yawns. "That's all been taken care of. Including the dress you're to wear if that's what you're worried about."

"O..oh of course Mr Zen'in." You reply fixing your gaze towards the floor.

"There's no way in hell am I getting married in three fucking days," Toji speaks up.

"Watch your mouth, boy," Naobito says leaning back in his chair, looking unbothered by Toji's defiance. "There's a child here." He continues pointing at the little Megumi.

"You don't seriously expect me to get married in three days, and to someone I just fucking met today." Toji continues his jaw clenched and his face holding an expression of extreme annoyance, more than you'd seen him give you today.

Naobito leans forward, his piercing gaze fixed on Toji. "I do expect it, boy. And you will comply. You are bound by the Zen'in family rules, and that includes marriage arrangements. You should be grateful that we have found a suitable match for you."

Toji grits his teeth, glancing at you for a moment before looking back at Naobito. "I don't care about your family rules or your 'suitable match'. I won't marry someone I don't love, and I won't do it in three days."

Your mother speaks up then, her voice gentle but firm. "Toji, I understand that this is sudden and you may feel overwhelmed, but please consider the bigger picture. The Zen'in family needs this alliance with the L/N family. It's for the good of both clans."

"But what about my happiness? What about Y/N's happiness?" Toji gestures towards you. "Are we just supposed to go along with whatever the family wants without any say in the matter?"

Naobito's expression darkens, and for a moment, you wonder if he's going to lash out at Toji. But then he takes a deep breath and leans back in his chair again. "You both have a say in the matter, of course. But ultimately, the decision has been made. The wedding will take place in three days, and that's final."
