"That was..." Liv murmured; the entire cafeteria was whispering about what had just happened. The Alpha and the Ice Queen had gone head-to-head, and the Alpha won.

Yet he didn't have a smug look on his face as he sat back down. Instead, he grabbed his backpack walking out of the class doors towards the forest.

"Interesting." Jace finished squeezing her hand "She's just an awful person, isn't she?"

"I don't know what's going on with her," Liv whispered feeling her eyes start to become damp "she's never been like this before. I thought she was a good person but now I'm not too sure."

"C'mere," Jace curled his arm around her side pulling her closer to him "she's jealous of you, but you're going to come out of this better. You've got friends by your side Liv, and none of us are going to let anything bad happen to you again."

Liv smiled into his chest "Yeah, I guess so."

"I don't think she'll do anything about it again, Damon will have scared her off." Marcus added with a smile in Liv's direction.

"Let's get your mind off of this." Jace whispered pulling her upright, he reached down to grab her backpack as they left out the back door of the cafeteria. He held her hand tight in his as they walked to her car. Marcus would drive his home.

A comfortable silence settled over the two of them like a blanket as they drove to the pack house, Jace's warm hand on her knee reassuring her frantic heartbeat. When they pulled up outside the pack house, Liv looked in awe of the little village that surrounded the pack house mansion.

The village was bustling with different people as they shopped at the farmer's market. They had stuff like that in the human village but here there was a better sense of community as they all were bonded together by pack.He pulled up outside the pack house. When he stopped the car, they both sat in silence waiting for someone to make the first move.

She leaned over pressing her lips to his "thank you for today."

"Why are you thanking me?" Jace mumbled pressing another kiss to her lips before pulling back. He grinned down at the hazy look in her eyes pressing his lips to her forehead before reaching over to open her car door. "C'mon I'll show you around."

She gripped his hand as he offered it to her as she walked towards the pack house which was eerily quiet. Everyone was either at home or at school, which Jace was glad about. He wasn't sure Liv was ready to meet everyone just yet.

Alpha Erik and his mate were on a business trip, so his mum was running the pack, but she had a ballet rehearsal for Jessica.

"This is really cool." Liv grinned looking around the ornately decorated entrance way. Whilst few people actually resided in the pack house preferring to live in the wooden houses that beside it for their own space.

Jace, and his friends, had their own floor within the massive building. He led her to the elevator pressing his hand against the small of her back.Inside the elevator, their comfortable silence turned tenser. Her being in his home pushed him to want to mate and mark with her. She was his, and she was safe.

Liv's eyes flickered between his sapphire ones (that had darkened considerably since stepping into the elevator) and his lips. All she had to do was reach up and pull him towards her, and yet she didn't.She didn't want their first time to be in an elevator.

Jace smirked, biting his lip as if he could hear her thoughts. Gripping her hand in his, he led them towards his bedroom past the small messy living area that one could expect from three teenage boys living together.
