" Look at you girls, you're alive! "
I snapped out of my thoughts when hearing and seeing Mike appear in front of us.
I shake my thoughts off and send him a small smile, taking a so of my coffee that I just bought from a local cafe in the town.
" yeah I know, false alarm we guess " Bella replied and glanced at me as Mike let out a small awkward chuckle
" Totally fine" I lied and gave him a look.
" So uh— prom is near and I was wondering if I can take one of you guys out in prom? " He asks
I hide my eyes widening from his offer as my gaze trails to the Cullen siblings standing a few meters away from us.
Alice waved at me while Jasper stood beside her, with a playful smirk on his face like he wanted to laugh at any moment. And then there's Edward
That caused me to look at Bella to see her looking back at him, and looking away immediately
" Sorry, I— we can't. Me and Stella are gonna go to Jacksonville that weekend " Bella replies
and I sighed in relief. Disappointment washed in Mike's face that almost made me insistently feel bad for him
" but hey! You should ask out Jessica instead, she's really into you, and I bet you two will look great together at prom " I added.
This causes Mike to look behind and we see Jessica looking back at him, she smiles and waves her hand.
Making me smirk as Mike looks back at us and thanks us.
" guys! Come on now, or else the bus will leave you! " our professor in biology shouts when he sees us still outside.
I looked at Bella who took her bag with her as I followed my sister inside the bus
Throughout the short car ride, I was silent as my eyes were focused on the road. It's been a few hours since I had that strange dream.
And I'm slowly beginning to think it's all real.
I swallowed the lump in my throat and looked down at my hands.
My breath hitched as the dark color spread into my fingers, but it slowly faded, and my skin color returned. I
feel my heart pounding in my chest because of what I just watched, I immediately hide my hand with my sleeves and look up.

Then I almost jumped when hearing Bella speak beside me out of nowhere, I took a deep breath, calming myself as I let out a small nervous chuckle
" Probably the coffee " I simply replied.
