Nia's P.O.V
My name is Nia Clockart. I'm getting ready for my military training today. I wanted to become a strong, independent woman when I grew older so I thought this would be a great start.Hut 2,3,4, Hut 2,3,4
This I where I felt I was stronger, I felt as if I was becoming an important figure here until that day arrived...
"Nia come with me..." Sargent Gomez told me.
I walked into the board meeting room with her steadily, for I knew something was amiss.
"I was meaning to talk to you.." She says leaning against the door.
"What did you want to talk about?"I reply with annoyance.
She sighed and smiled at me. "I think it's time for you to express yourself to the world."
"But Gomez..."
"No buts! it's time you started talking to people your age and show them that you are special."
"Why does that matter so much to you!? Is it the fact that you don't want me here with the rest of you?!" I shout folding my arms at her.
"That's not true...I feel you should see the world and not this airship 24/7. You've been here for fifteen years and I want you to express yourself and not live in this airship your whole life.
"Can you do that for me?" she asked clutching her hands together.
"It's because I'm fifteen isn't it? Instead of me being here trying to learn to fight you want me to go live some teenage fantasy don't you..."
She looked at me with sad eyes and asked me "Let me ask you this... are you still trying to avenge your mother?"
I stared at her for a moment then looked away, "Yes, I will get my hands on Monogram one way or the other."
"But a young girl, technically a young woman shouldn't still live in the past... especially not from ten years ago."
I was furious. How could you tell me to get over something that I saw?! What watched happen to my own mother?!
"What!? You expect me to be okay from that?! That man took something dear to me, and you want me to just forget it ever happened?!"
"No, I don't! but even so, you shouldn't waste your life for that one goal Nia! I know that moment pains you, but staying here dreaming of it constantly isn't okay that's why we have assigned you to live a better life." she says almost bursting into tears, "You're too young Nia, I just want you to have a good life. One without you holding onto hate."
I couldn't bear to just sit there and have this talk any longer, so I turned away from Gomez walking towards the door.
I stand next to her and utter "Fine go ahead and find a place for me to go, but know this... it doesn't matter where you send me off to. I will NEVER forgive him and I will bring him to his knees."
Those were my final words to Sargent Gomez. I went to my dorm room to pack up all my things. I gather my boxes with a baggage carrier and was heading to the front airship gates. Everyone was there telling me this was something that could help me live a better life.
"Nia, I know how you feel about your mother and all, but you could die from depression and anger that way, and I want you to feel happy, you do know that don't you?" Gomez told me still sounding a bit worried.
I just stood there not feeling the need to speak. I couldn't, no, I didn't want to say a single thing to her.
"But even so you can still contact us if you like." She assures handing me a mobile device.
Taking the device given to me, I shove it into the pocket of my jacket.
Everyone waved me goodbye once I got on one of the aircraft jets, they flew me down to earth and to an academic learning facility. Teens my age go here to socialize and learn with others and live in high-class dorm rooms. I felt like blowing the whole place and the people into bits and pieces, but I thought to myself of giving things time. If things don't work out after a month, then I exterminate the place. I take my luggage and tread inside the counsel lounge. Apparently, Gomez signed a form for me ahead of time. They gave me a key and I take my things into my new dorm room. It was a pretty big dorm too. The first floor has a nicely furnished living room with a kitchen set on the other side of it. The kitchen is precise with luxury appliances. And the second floor had royalty red walls, a queen-sized bed, a fancy bathroom with a walk-in shower, a lavish floral hot tub, and a floral sink designed with the walls.
"Wow, they sure do know how to go all out..." I said in a figure of annoyance.
I unpack my boxes and put all of my belongings in their rightful place. I shuffle through all my photo's to hang them on the wall, sorted all my books and put them in alphabetical order on my shelves, and finally places my computer along with my spy-ware on my desk.
"I am now about to begin a brand new start," I say leaning back in my chair.
I decide to step out of my dorm for a moment to catch a glimpse of the life beyond the airship. Standing by the rails near my dorm, I see a bunch of teenagers talking, laughing, singing, all kinds of things. This place had a different atmosphere from the airship. It feels less tense, a feeling that I have always grown to understand. I don't even know where to begin, but I best start somewhere sooner or later.
