Do you know that expensive border school for college, St. Sophia's, that was very famous a time ago? Many rich youngsters studied there, and many rich families had their best children doing curses to go finish their studies abroad there, too. It was specifically known for its strict methods of teaching and respeitability of the students, but it closed not a long time after the story I'm going to tell happened. Some say it was all his fault, while some others try to explain otherways, claiming that the owners were broken and the old principal was too sick, but everybody knows, in the end, that nothing would have taken this direction immediately if that hadn't taken place first of all.
Anyways, I can't tell much about the school rules neither how things worked inide of it, since I've never studied there myself, but Tom did and he could give me some information when everyone was curious about this story. Poor him, last year all girls were over and over with questions, as he really did meet Michael, and it looked like heavenly for them, only because he was arrested. For what I can tell, however, not until some months ago, that guy only could be considered "a pretty boy" in a "rich school" and only a dozen of dramatic fans would make a fuss wherever he passed, for being popular. He would never have become so known if he wasn't involved in the things that led to his arrestment.
Well, last year Michael was about to finish college and his friends said he would do exams for Maths, because he was brilliant in the subject and a dounce in all the others that didn't interest him, for exemple, History and English. He played in the basketball team as captain and second-in-command in volleyball, amazing in sports in general, as all these popular cliche boys are. He divented captain of the basketball team in his second year of high school and won a prize in a competition, but he actually didn't need anything of that, as his parents were rich enough to keep him easily at any school he'd like to frequent.
The first rumors of his illness started to spread around by March, in last year. Ellio Young, his roommate, was the first one to notice all, because he was probably Michael's closest friend and knew everything about him. By March, he began to have problems to sleep and the boys later related that he was usually the last one to fall asleep and the first one to get up, and drama kings even affirmated that he didn't even sleep at all, because they could hear his steps back and forth around the dormitory, without counting the plural days when he left "secretly" to do some forbidden activity and was suspended more than twice, caught in these sleepwalks by some school guard. Ellio also witnessed his current headaches, stress crisis and fever, and a doctor was called by April, but apparently "the boy was suffering on mind and his body was only loading the consequences of his unbalanced soul, something very common for these youths nowadays, etc., etc.", so everybody gave up on helping him, as he didn't want to be helped, and usually had explosions of temper during the medical sessions, until the doctor started to claim he wasn't receiving enough for being so badly welcomed; the school decided that they had no responsability over Mr Stormfield, and "his family should do something if they wanted, because the lad was dying oddly and nobody knew what to do, just like he didn't seem to mind it quite a lot, what was noticeably strange".
By May, Ellio and the others could complain that their dormitory was overpopulated by flowers, chocolates and love cards wishing health and happiness, gifts come from Michael's fans, that were among all the grades of the famous school and others too, and never failed in the weekly report about his health status; a simple omission would mean that they didn't love him anymore, a day later everybody could be whispering about how unfaithful they were to their idol, and what could be worse than that?!
I suppose those stupid ladies felt a coldness in their tender hearts just to imagine a feverish pale vampire in the second floor, inside the male restroom, crying over the sink, in the most romantic depths of dispair and agony, consequences of his inexorable physical pain.
