"It must be pretty boring" Rose said distractedly. "What?" asked Eloise, pretending to be curious and succeeding partially, because Rose grinned mercifully. "Living" she replied joyfully. "For Cindy, I mean. Her life must be a real bore. I kind of understand the murder she committed."

"You don't look surprised at all, though when I warned you, it was a bloody story, you were all thrilled"

"That's because I thought you were going to tell me Michael Stormfield's story" Rose replied again, sighing. "But your secondary character obviously is your favorite"

Eloise chuckled and petted her head with clemency. "Ah, Rose, you're really funny. Well, I finished my story..."
"No-o, you didn't! What happened to Michael after his soul was captured? He died?" Rose went on. Eloise laughed.

"Of course not, it would be a serious waste. He was so handsome"

Rose had to reflect before saying:

"Stop with ironies and continue, please. It's almost over, one more lap around the park and we enter the café"

Eloise rose her eyes, measured the distance, and sighed.
