THERE WAS LOUD MUSIC AND, a bunch of people that Y/N didn't even care about lingering around the house, and she didn't know how to feel about that. She thought going to this party that even she helped decorate would help her, make her feel more lively than ever, but no. It wasn't helping her in any way. She was just standing in the corner, her eyes wandering around towards the people that danced and talked amongst themselves. She felt so embarrassed, and she knew exactly why. This wasn't how she planned the night out at all. While she kept her eyes wandering all of the people, she let out a disappointed sigh only to listen to the sound of a deep snicker come up from behind her. She frowned to herself and looked over her shoulder, now making eye contact with Billy. Her eyebrows raised in slight surprise since she thought he'd be around Stu doing something that could've possibly ended their lives.
"Billy, what are you doing back here??" That's when she whirled her entire body towards the brunette that walked up to her, the same strong shimmer through his eyes as he did so. There were times where she wasn't sure if she could contain herself around him, and just then was one of them. He looked so handsome even though she'd already seen him before the party even began.
After a few more steps, Billy then leaned himself up against the wall beside the both of them, a low scoff and an almost taunting smirk placing itself over his mouth, "I should be the one asking you that... How are you alone at a party..?"
Shrugging at his words, the H/C haired teen glanced down at the floor. It was obvious she was trying not to seem like an embarrassment, and that only made him find her random shyness adorable. She couldn't see that though. She was way too deep into her own world, and her social awkwardness wasn't making the whole thing any better at all. She couldn't even tell if she was forcing herself away from the party or if she was actually just uncomfortable and still trying to fit in.
"Hey, come on... I didn't mean it like that..." he hummed, stepping even closer to her with his head turning to the side a bit. All she did was peer up at him with her glistening E/C eyes, but before she could respond, he beat her to it with a smooth, "How about we go ahead and check out some more of the drinks. Stu and Tatum really did their thing with this party.."
That's when she felt her cheeks growing hot just from his request, and her heart started beating quicker. All of these things she was feeling were nothing unusual to her because she'd had crushes on people, but at the same time it was different because of what she'd been through. It was like she didn't think there was anything good to come to her, so she looked forward to the littlest things. She couldn't believe that her recent trauma messed with her so badly, "Oh, ummm... Sure, just let me-"
Right before she could finish what she was saying, she felt her device ping in her pocket, causing her left eyebrow to raise before she quickly stuffed her hand inside of it, pulling it out only to see that the anonymous person she'd been speaking to over the phone had text her.
That's when Y/N turned her attention onto the visibly confused Billy, then back to her phone. Her blood went cold and she wasn't sure if she even wanted to read the text or not because she knew it was most likely going to be some kind of threat to her. Feeling a shiver crawl down her back, she pursed her lips and frowned at the brunette that stood infront of her, still confused by the sudden shift of her mood.
"Sorry, it's my mom.. She's texting me... I.. have to answer this... I.. I'll be back, okay...?" Y/N lied with the same saddened expression over her features. It seems as though she was right about everything. She really couldn't have any happiness. She was going to have to be miserable with the mysterious murderer in the back, watching her every move.
Stuffing his hands into each of his pockets, Billy scoffed once again, only this time it was an annoyed scoff that caused her heart to sink inside of her chest, and although she felt bad, she really didn't want to end up on the news or dismembered in some kind of plastic bag, "Yeah, that's fine, I guess. I'm here, don't know when I'll be leaving so... take all the time you need."
Before she could reassure him that she was still up for the idea, he turned on his heel, the smile that was once wiped across his face now gone. That really hurt her, but now she had something else to worry about, and that something else was the text that came from the mysterious person that had traumatized her far too many times now.
???
I hate how he looks at you.why do you keep looking at him?
don't look so happy with him.
Now this is when she couldn't help but feel like she was just a paralyzed woman standing. From the way this person was texting her, it was as if they were talking to her from a live perspective. She couldn't help but whip her head all around, not caring if she looked like some crazy person that only saw illusions. When she didn't notice anything or anyone staring at her, that only freaked her out even more.
She clenched her jaw and stood there for a split second, her eyes getting wider from the fear that entered throughout her body, and she did the only thing she could've thought of. She ran.
