Old Friends

Chapter 1

"Next!" The photographer yelled.

Rainbow Dash walked in front of the camera, standing in front of the height background showing that she was around 5'10. She held a sign with her first and last name written on it, along with her case number. She kept an unamused expression on, the photographer shot her face profile, both front and side.

The photographer shooed her away and called in the next woman. Rarity Gem was now in view in front of the camera, the background revealing her to be 5'6. She dressed up quite nicely with her hair curled, unusually stylish for being in a mugshot. She winked while the camera flashed indicating her pictures had been taken, allowing her to strut away.

The third of the group was Twilight Sparkle. She groaned as she advanced to the front of the camera. She was very upset that her and her teammates got caught. Being the shortest of her group at 5'5, the camera had to be angled lower for Twilight to stare into the lens tiredly. She sighed right before her mugshot was taken.

Later on, the trio was forced into a truck that would be transporting them to the prison itself. Twilight and Rarity were placed next to each other with Rainbow across from them.

"How did we end up here?" Twilight wondered out loud, her purple locks flowed in front of her eyes as she stared at the ground.

Rainbow eyed Rarity with a scowl.

"I don't know, maybe because somebody here just had to wear heels!" Rainbow complained.

Rarity pouted in frustration, "Rainbow Dash, my choice of shoes is not the reason I tripped."

"Then how?" Rainbow asked, angrily, "you tripped on air?"

Twilight sighed being forced to listen to the nonstop bickering.

"Do you two ever shut up!?" Twilight shouted, stomping her foot at the same time, to get their attention.

Rarity and Rainbow kept their mouths, however they still continued to glare at each other from time to time. This how it's always been for the divergent group. The rest of the car ride was silent for at least twenty minutes, until the truck began moving in unusual ways.

"Woah!" Twilight exclaimed, her body almost slipping off her seat.

Rarity and Twilight had started to bump into each other as they slid back and forth on their seats. The girls screamed as the truck maneuvered sloppily, also seemingly to have crashed into a bunch of things. The trio was unsure since they had no way of looking outside at the moment. The vehicle came to a sudden halt, slamming into something, causing all three women to fall on the ground.

"Oww!" Rarity moaned, "What's happening out there?"

Rainbow had dropped first right on her stomach with the other two landing on top of her. Twilight got off of Rarity and sat on the floor with her back leaning on the seat. Rarity and Rainbow got up as well. The fashionista let out a breathe she had been holding for awhile, temporarily relieved that the chaos was over. Rainbow, on the other hand, advanced towards the opening in the car that allowed the driver and the prisoners to communicate.

"Hey!" Rainbow yelled, "Who the hell let you get a driver's license?!"

The driver was knocked out from the crash. Rainbow sighed as she rolled her eyes and muttered to herself. She took this chance to look around her surroundings. From what she could see, the driver had ran into a streetlight. It was the evening and the streets were empty.

Rainbow continued to gaze outside. "The dumbass crashed into a streetlight." She explained to her partners.

Twilight had rested her head on Rarity's shoulder. "So, what now?" She said.

"Are we stuck here?" Rarity asked.

Rainbow shook her head. She walked down to the rear end of the truck. The rear had two large doors with handles. Rainbow gritted her teeth as she raised her cuffed hands in the air and harshly collided them with the handles, her cuffs breaking in the process. Rainbow groaned in pain, but her hands were finally free.

Rarity winced as she watched Rainbow begin to use her shoulder to run into the doors, attempting to force it open. The exit wouldn't budge. Rainbow had tried it one more time, surprisingly the doors opened this time, however they were not due to Rainbow's efforts.

Rainbow yelped as she fell outside, landing on the concrete street, she bruised her cheek. Rarity and Twilight quickly jumped to her aid, but were stopped by two men in suits. Their strong hands grabbing Rarity and Twilight's forearms so they couldn't move any further. A third man in suit appeared and grabbed Rainbow's prison gear to get her back up on her feet.

"Who the fuck are you guys?!" Rainbow shouted.

The three men didn't answer. Twilight looked around and realized there had been two black cars parked near the truck. The door to one of them opened and revealed a blonde woman. Twilight's eyes widened as she walked out with another woman following right behind her. Rarity had noticed too, her eyes almost welled up in tears.

"A-Applejack?" Rarity said, her voice became hoarse.

Rainbow turned her head to the mention of the name. Her mouth dropped open as her eyes widened.

"It's me, hon. " Applejack said, huskily, her face was plastered with a smug smirk.

Rainbow snarled as she began to shout, "You bitch! You have the audacity to show up like this after what you did to us?!"

Rainbow threw her head back to headbutt the man holding her and then charged at Applejack. She balled her fist and aimed straight at her face, but was stopped by the woman from earlier.

"Aw, come on, Rainbow!" Pinkie Pie said, "We just reunited!"

Pinkie's lips then perked up in a smile, "This calls for a reunion party!" She announced, excitedly.

Twilight smiled slightly seeing that Pinkie Pie was still her silly and childish self. She turned her head to the sound of Rarity. A tear rolled down her delicate, pale cheek.

"Rarity..?" She called, "are you okay?"

Rarity forced a weak smile as she nodded, "Yes, darling. Don't worry about me."

Twilight knew she was lying, but decided not to nag her about it for now.

"I just saved you from being imprisoned and this is the thanks I get?" Applejack asked, sarcastically.

She chuckled as Rainbow whipped her arm away from Pinkie Pie.

"Fuck you!" She retorted. "We never asked to be saved."

Applejack raised an eyebrow, "You won't admit it, but I know you three are glad to see me." She said. Her gaze shifted to Rarity, "Especially you, sugar."

Rarity frowned and turned away.

The man, who was holding onto Rainbow, had suffered a bloody nose. He rubbed his temple before grabbing onto Rainbow once more and pulling her away from Applejack.

"You three will be returning to the manor whether you like it or not." She explained. "We have an important mission and it requires all six of us."

Rainbow had been glaring at her feet, but she quickly looked back to Applejack.

"What do you mean six?" She asked, with concern, her heart pumped rapidly as if it was going to tear right out her chest.

"I know who you're thinking of, Dash." Applejack said, "She's been living with Pinkie Pie and I since your departure."

Rainbow's eyes narrowed, "My departure? I didn't choose to leave and you fucking know that!"

Applejack let out another chuckle, she walked towards Rainbow Dash with her brows raised teasingly. She proceeded to glare down at her.

"I can assure you, Dash, she hates you for what you did to her." Applejack said, harshly.

Rainbow's eyes widened, she felt her heart shatter into a million pieces. She had so many questions that only Applejack could answer, but she was dragged away into one of the cars along with Rarity and Twilight.
