*FLASHBACK*

Yunjin lay on the mats in the gym, covering her face with the first textbook she found in her backpack. Classes had ended almost an hour ago, but she was waiting for Kazuha, who was writing her test. Recently, Kazuha had a lot of competitions and performances, so it was not always possible to take tests at the same time as her classmates. Yunjin, like a true friend, waited for her instead of going home. Today she was very tired, so she didn't even have time to realize how quickly she fell asleep.

After a while, a bright light made Yunjin wake up. She looked up and saw her best friend above her head, who had just removed the textbook from her face. Kazuha looked so comfortable and gentle that Yunjin just froze while looking at her.

"Did you get enough sleep?" Kazuha asked, putting the book away in her friend's backpack.

"Well, so-so," Yunjin sat down. "I didn't even notice how I fell asleep. How's your test?"

"Don't know. I didn't prepare for it at all. I couldn't answer a couple of questions."

"This means that you will pass it again with excellent marks."

"I'm just a genius," Kazuha shrugged, and Yunjin grinned. "Okay, let's go."

"Let's go.

Yunjin threw her backpack over her shoulder and wrapped her arms around her friend's arm. Kazuha didn't react to this, because she had gotten used to it a long time ago. Kazuha herself is not very tactile. She doesn't mind being hugged or held by the hand, but she is unlikely to take the first step herself. Kazuha thinks so. Yunjin and Sana say that only Yunjin is allowed to hug her, hold her hand, and put her head on Kszuha's shoulder. Kazuha herself prefers to keep distance from others, including her parents.

The last couple of weeks have been very busy. This year they will graduate from middle school and move on to high school, which is a big step in the lives of all students. That is why, from the first day of the school year, children were bombarded with a lot of information and a lot of preparation for successfully passing exams. And from the beginning of October, additional courses began, which were also mandatory. So the quiet, carefree days of children are gone.

Yunjin was so tired that she even forgot that today was her birthday. Her phone was dead, it was not pleasant to congratulate students in class because of the very "kind" teachers, her parents had not been home since the morning, and the girl herself had her head filled with other things. Kazuha remembered this very well, so she took her friend to a cafe.

The two of them were always friends. They had people with whom they interacted at school, but as soon as classes ended, they went about their business and forgot about each other's existence. So Kazuha didn't do any big surprise or party. They will just sit together, talk, eat cake and Kazuha will give her a gift.

"This is for you," Kazuha held out a small box while they waited for their order.

"For me?" Yunjin was surprised. "In honor of what?"

"Don't know. Maybe in honor of your birthday?"

"Today is my birthday?!" Yunjin exclaimed. She turned on Kazuha's phone, which was lying on the table, and saw a number against the background with a photo of them together. "It's true. How could I forget?"

Kazuha just laughed at her friend's reaction. Yunjin took the gift and opened it. It was a gold bracelet. It was shiny, thin and so elegant that Yunjin didn't even immediately notice that there were several dark blue stones on the bracelet.

"This stone is called lapis lazuli, or to be precise, Afghan lapis lazuli. This stone is considered by many to be a symbol of strong and devoted friendship. I have one too," she showed the bracelet on her hand. "With this I wanted to tell you that I will always be your best friend. I will always support you no matter what happens and I hope for similar actions on your part," Kazuha grinned at the last words, because she already knew that Yunjin would do so. "In general, I love you very much, Yunjin, and I value you most of all. Always remember this, okay? No matter what happens, I'm there. And thank you for being in my life."
