Omori walked forwards, looking at the rock behind the tree.
"This guy looks kinda tough, Omori... be careful..."
He reached out, and poked it. Whatever it was tensed up, and slowly turned to Omori, causing Omori and his friends to arm themselves, looking a little worried.
The planet looked down at Omori.
"Do you need something?"
"Uh, yeah, who are you?" Kel demanded,
"That doesn't matter." The strange rock responded, before waddling off, and taking to the sky.
"... Great talk."
Everyone exchanged glances, but shrugged, and continued up the path, taking a quick break at Mari's picnic basket.
"There you guys are! I was wondering when you would show up!" Mari chirped with a smile, gesturing for everyone to sit.
"Welcome to Otherworld! The unofficial pitstop for weary space-farers, and a lovely camping ground!" Mari took an inhale, and smiled over at Sunny. "Don't you just love the smell of firewood, and the sound of running water, and that crisp breeze? Makes space a lot more bearable, huh?"
Kel gave an eager nod. "When I grow up, I wanna be a space pirate so I can travel the universe!"
Mari chuckled. "Our search for Basil has already taken us quite far from home, so if it's exploring the universe you want, you sure have a head start!"
Kel stared awestruck into the distance. "The foes we'll find.... Friends we'll meet... it will be an epic journey to end all other journeys!"
"Kel... you're way too carefree about something like this... we're still looking for Basil, remember? Our dear friend who needs us?" Aubrey scolded.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm just trying to be Positive right now, Aubrey. I have complete faith we'll find him! Besides, we don't need to fear, the heroes always win! Isn't that right, Hero?"
Hero deadpanned at Kel. "Haha... Great one, Kel."
Omori and his friends stood up, and waved goodbye to Mari, continuing up the path. Kel wasn't watching where he was going, and bumped into a person standing near the entrance to a moon shaped spacecraft.
"You! Halt! You are now entering the vicinity of the captain of the space pirates... the warden and master of the solar system... the prince of the universe... the one and only... CAPTAIN SPACE- uhh, wait uhm...." The pirate sighs, and looks down at the floor in defeat, and gestured up the stairs. "You are entering the house of Space Boyfriend..."
Kel looked up in surprise. "Woah! The captain of the space pirates lives here?! AWESOME! I wanna be a space pirate too!!"
The pirate sighs again. "So did I, little man, so did I. Unfortunately, uh... Space Boyfriend doesn't do much... most of the pirates just got fed up and left with the main ship, so it's just us here like, doing chores and stuff... I didn't leave my old job just to clean trash for an entire day..."
Aubrey looked at the pirate with pity. "That sounds awful... maybe we can talk some sense into him..."
The space pirate shakes his head. "I wouldn't do that, he's uh... kinda a double edged sword right now..."
"Well, it wouldn't hurt to at least try, he could help us find Basil..."
"Or my pet rock, Hector!" Kel cheered.
"Y-yep... or that too..."
"Well? What are we waiting for?? C'mon, let's go talk to him!"
"I'm sorry about your job, sir." Aubrey comfortingly said. "It'll get better soon though, I promise!"
