~Luke's POV~
Why did she have to say that? Why did she have to tell me she loved me? I ruined her. She probably feels like this is her fault. I broke her. I don't know what to do. I take off my "The Killers" t-shirt, to see that she really fucked up my stomach. I was bruised in 4 places, on my chest and on my stomach. This will definitely hurt tomorrow. I went to the freezer. I grabbed a bag of ice for my pain, as well as beer whilst I wait for the water to heat up. I just can't believe she felt this way about me. She's had feelings towards me this entire time. I grab another. I don't know what to do anymore. I just want to drink 7 of these beers and numb all of my feelings. I don't understand why she loves me. I know I'm her best friend, but I have just never seen her that way. My brain has been jumbling all my school work and my social life to have time for her and everything with my family and, everything. There's another bottle. Finished. 3 more in the fridge. I just grab them all. I'm just so fucking mad at myself. Why the hell did I let her fall in love with me? I know I never felt that way towards her, why did i make her think I liked her? Did I give her false hope? What the hell have I done? I ruined my best friend. I am all she has left and I broke her. I hear a loud whistling noise. "One second Emma. Your tea is almost ready. Are you okay up there?" I scream. "Okay Luke." She says quietly. I am supposed to make her happy. And there goes another beer. I am supposed to make her smile. I am supposed to be there for her all the time. But how the hell am I supposed to do that now? How am I supposed to do that when she only gets reminded of how much she loves me, each time I speak to her? She's going to always remember this night, not for the day that she was saved from suicide, but as the day her best friend rejected her. And her pain and misery will be all my fault. What have I done?
