Bird-Brain (Sky X Male Reader)

Another day... Another job at the Hatchery...

I wasn't bummed out because I had to go back to work, but instead I was annoyed at my boss Sky and her miserable bird Wrench.

Sometimes I lost sleep knowing I had to go back and see them again. Sure, my job wasn't the coolest or fulfilling, but a job was better than no job.

After a five minute walk, I finally arrived to work. The first thing I was was the huge shelves of eggs and Sky tending to them. No sign of Wrench which was good. I'd be pissed if I had to see him again.

I walked on the hay covered floor towards Sky who turned her head to look at me. "Ugh. You're late again." She told me in her snotty tone.

That seemed to piss me off even more than her annoying bird. I glared at her. "What? You can't really blame me for a loss of sleep. Too many dangers around here..." I told her with fatigue in my tone.

Sky just sighed dismissively. "Stop making excuses. I hired you for one simple job and you can't even show up on time. Gosh, you can be a piece of work." She told me.

I didn't even want to argue at the moment. I just wanted to do my job, get paid and go home for the day. "Whatever... So what is it you want me to do?" I asked with with a deadpan expression.

"It's really simple. I need you to take those newly laid eggs and stack them with their assigned nests. You have until sundown to do it. Chop, chop..." Sky said walking away from the area.

I couldn't help but to clench my fists in anger. I couldn't believe she was making me carry thirty pound eggs into special nests. This was ridiculous. But I had no choice but to suck it up and do it.

If I can...

Those shits were about half my body size and weighed a ton. I could barley lift them. I couldn't drop them because Sky would have my head if I do. So I had to be careful.

Gosh, who knew I'd actually be spending about five hours trying to get them up. Damn, I was aching and sweating. Those eggs were heavy, I couldn't even believe I got them into the nests. I was excited to see what Sky would think.

Hopefully she would give me a raise or something like that.

After I cleaned up shop, Sky came into the Hatchery sending Wrench away. She stepped inside and inspected the place.

"So... How'd I do?" I asked her a bit nervously. I was sweating bullets, hoping she wouldn't scold me for something petty this time.

She had her hands on her hips and walked past me towards the nests. She looked at them and inspected them closely one by one. She stepped forward before stopping at the blue and yellow egg.

"Ah. What's this? I thought I said in their assigned nests. This one's all wrong." She said disapprovingly.

I sighed and limped my arms down. "Fine... I'll fix it if you want." I said.

Before I could even do anything, she stopped me dead in my tracks. "No, no, no. I gave you a time period to complete them. And you failed again at even that." She said to me.

I felt fire in my heart. I was so enraged at her strict guidelines and rules. It was to the point where I snapped back at her finally after a month of this garbage.

"You know what? I'm through with your shit! I'm sick and tired of you ordering me around, saying this needs to be done at a certain time or some crap. You know how heavy those things were?!" I yelled at her.

She seemed surprised. "Y/N, I..." Before she could continue, I cut her off. "I don't want to hear it. I'm out of here. Have fun with your little babysitting job." I said before turning my back and walking towards the door.

"Y/N! Come back here!" Sky said angerly. I could hear her stomping up behind me.

I rolled my eyes and began to turn around. "What? Want to berate me some more-" Before I could even finish, I was cut off by Sky abruptly smashing her lips into mine.

My eyes widened and a shockwave of warmth shot through my veins. Was this even real?

The kiss was short and sweet. Sky pulled away but still kept me in her arms. "I'm truly sorry for the way I treated you. I just wanted to see you do your best." She told me.

That was surprising to hear someone like her say something that reassuring to me. Really didn't expect that one.

"Damn... But was the kiss really necessary though-" Before I could finish, Sky pulled me into another kiss again, this time with twice as more passion as the last one.

I kissed her back this time and wrapped my hands around her slim, curvy body. She fit perfectly into my hands and her lips were so soft. She smelled really good too. This whole feeling was a pure bliss.

She skin was smooth and soft. It felt so pleasurable just touching her. I took a step back and tripped over a small rock.

Sky still had her arms around me. I still had her in my hands as well. She fell on top of me and looked me in the eyes. After a couple seconds of awkwardly staring into each other's eyes, we latched our lips together again.

I must be dreaming. I had the most beautiful girl I know on top of me, latching lips. It was the most euphoric experience I've ever had I think.

I was enjoying every little bit of this. Her soft body straddled on top of mine. Her soft lips grazing against mine. My chest was literally melting with warmth. This was the best feeling in the world.

After a couple of seconds, one of her friends came in. She had purple hair, gold jewelry and red clothing on. She looked rather puzzled slash embarrassed.

"Sky, what are you doing?!" The purple haired girl asked while blushing madly.

Sky and I looked up at her and blushed as well. "S-Shantae... What are you doing here?!" She asked her with annoyance and embarrassment.

"I came over here to drop something off, but apparently you were busy!" Shantae said angerly while still wearing that flushed expression.

"Ugh. If you came to drop something off, leave it at the front door!" Sky told her.

"Geez. Someone's crabby..." Shantae said while walking out.

Sky sighed and looked down at me. "Well that was something..." She said before getting up. She offered me her hand. "Here. I'll help you up." She said.

I gripped her hand and she assisted me back on my feet. "That was embarrassing..." I said dusting myself off.

Sky rubbed her head. "You're telling me." She said looking down to the ground.

I then clapped my hands together. "I guess I'll be taking off now." I said before turning around.

Before I could go through the door, Sky stopped me in my tracks. "Wait, Y/N..." She said trying to grab my attention.

I turned around and looked at her attentively. "Hm?" I mused.

Sky held her arm and looked down to the side slightly blushing. "I was hoping you'd be available by chance..." She asked me.

"Yeah, I am. Why do you ask?" I questioned with a brow raised.

"I'm having dinner tonight on Main Street. I was hoping you could tag along?" She asked me.

I nodded. "I don't see why not." I replied.

Sky smiled slightly. "So it's a date?" She said with a slightly flirty tone.

I smiled back. "It's a date." I replied before walking out.

Me, dating my boss? Can't be real... But hey, I did ask for a raise after all...
