As Bierce pushed me through the portal without a second thought, I opened my eyes to see where I was. In Front of me was a giant cage wall with a single shard. "Well if Malak won't let us get that shard, we'll bring the shard to us. Let me unlock one more power for you. Come back to the altar." I came back to the altar, avoiding eye contact with Bierce. My head started to hurt even more that last time. "I made a few more changes to your brain, quit whining I'm a movie star, not a brain surgeon." I shook off the distortion and walked back into the portal before Bierce kicked me back in. I walked back up to the bars and used the new telekinesis power to drag the shard to me. Everything went dark around me. As my vision returned to me, I noticed the bars were now gone. My head is still ringing from all the changes that have been made to me. I stumbled forward. I began to start pushing Bierce's voice out of my mind. I'm getting tired of her remarks against me.
The nightmare realm began to load around me as I walked forward. As I took one final step, it seemed I appeared in a parking lot in front of a giant hospital, with ambulances parked in some of the bays. Hospitals, I've always had a distaste for them. They're more for the money than lawyers, known for truth. After the attack, I remember flashes of the ambulance taking me into the emergency room. When I woke up, I couldn't talk or move, I was a vegetable. I could only move my one eye, everything else on me was bandaged up. As soon as I was fully awake, I was given the news of the tragedy. My mom was in custody for the attack but that wasn't the news that made me broken. As paramedics and police arrived at my location, I was lucky to survive and protect my organs. My father unfortunately suffered a worse fate. He lost a lot of blood, so much so his body began failing. As soon as I could be put in a wheelchair, they took me to him. I wish I could wipe the image from my mind, to go back in time to stop myself from seeing him in that room. So many machines hooked up to a brain dead corpse, just so the hospital can get some more money out of the poor. They said they did all they could to save him, I wanted to believe that but I couldn't see past my anger and tears.
After that, I couldn't feel anything, like my world itself had a power outage. As soon as I got my voice back I was interviewed by the police and the news. They wanted to know my side of the story. I only talked to the police about the night of the incident. As the weeks went by I was forced into the courthouse to testify against my mother for killing my father and attacking myself. She was found guilty of her crimes but only as a plea of insanity. I wished we lived in a state with the death penalty, she deserved it, and no death didn't deserve her in the end. Unfortunately, the court also ruled that I needed to go to therapy for the incident for my sanity. I still hate therapy to this day, humanity has always been messy, to begin with, who has a right to tell you that you're messed up.
As I walked up to the door of the hospital I could hear music, not the normal music you would hear either. It was more like club music coming from within the facility. As I went inside the hospital, several nurses were standing around, with two more dancing in front of a giant statue of a nurse holding a heart. All of them had paper bags on their heads as they danced. This place looks more like a gentleman's club than a hospital, I think that's illegal misinformation. As I looked around I saw some Gold Watchers sitting on some couches sipping on something in fancy tea cups. As I walked forward it felt like everybody's eyes were on me. My eyes scanned the area around me, all the monsters in this nightmarish realm disguised themselves as attractive women. I guess this is the realm where they punish men for adultery or cheating in general. As I walked to the reception desk, I saw a nurse on an ancient desk phone.
"Mmm-hmm. No problem. (Y/n)? I see. How troublesome for you. Yep, we can handle that. Absolutely. Leave it to us, you don't have to worry about a thing! Well, speak of the devil. Looks like they just walked in. Ooh and she's a looker too. How cute, I can see why. I'll get back to you shortly, okay? Bye-bye now!" I wonder why they sound like Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony. They're probably talking to Malak on the phone. I looked at the desk and I saw a file with my name on it. I recognized the file as my history of painful experiences in therapy and pointless health checkups. As they made the phone disappear they turned their head in my direction.
