The rematch against Team Purple had just finished an hour ago, everybody enjoyed curry, and everyone went their ways for the night. But there stood one on Moray Towers, despite her teammates going home, Headphones stayed. 

She anxiously sat on the tower, her shoes dangling along the edge, and her squiffer leaning against a box. She just needed some time to process, I mean, it made sense, they just beat the S4, the big 4 of the S+ Rankers, and obviously don't forget Rider, who actually offered to train Team Blue. 

The past couple of days have been real tough on Headphones, that first match against Team Purple was scary, especially how Skull's E-Liter shot close to dear Headphone's heart. After that battle, her heart just ached, and now, Headphones got what she wanted, victory. 

But what did this mean for the team now? They beat the best of the best, although they were still known as idiots, what else does this mean for Team Blue? What do they do now? Will they do nothing or disband? Headphones hoped that wasn't true, but she was still getting anxious. What's gonna happen now? 

The streetlights in Inkopolis turned on for the night, meaning it was really late. Though again. Headphones didn't listen, and stayed at Moray Towers. Not like there was gonna be anymore battles for the night. 

Suddenly, her Headphones powered off, they must've just died. But that was unfortunate, though, it was one of the only things keeping Headphones calm, she wondered if her team would just leave her and disband without her, after all, her teammates are idiots and probably would forget to tell her. 

Just then, a small tears sparkled out of Headphone's eyes, dropping down her face. She looked down the tower and across the map, it's not like anybody else was going to be here to see her cry anyway. 

She just cried for a while in the dark and the silence, but then she felt a tap on her shoulder, and she was shocked to see someone with Gold Hi-Horses on their feet, take a seat next to Headphones. His bandana slightly waved through the breeze around the couple. 

"Headphones, right?" Skull asked curiously, though he appeared semi-threatening, he didn't seem like that bad of a guy, in fact, he showed genuine interest. 

"y-yeah." Headphones stuttered, she was a bit nervous around other people. 

"Hm." Skull sat there in idle, figuring out what to say in response. "You played well." 

"Oh- thank you, Skull." Headphones replied softly, her blue crystal eyes beaming up at Skull, "You- did really great too." 

It was obvious to Skull that Headphones wasn't the most talk-active of Team Blue. Skull then replied with a nod, "You use chargers too?" 

"Um- yeah." Headphones answered hesitantly, her breathing was audible. 

"Hm, figured." Skull mumbled slightly, "After all, I could see the way you used your charger, you did well." 

"Oh- thank you, Skull." Headphones slightly blushed at the comment, something about it meant a lot to her. She was feeling a bit better. 

"You're welcome, though." Skull sat up more, "You should get better practice with your form and how you hold your charger, otherwise it makes it harder to aim for your target." 

Headphones nodded her head in reply, suddenly when the topic of chargers came up, it seemed that Skull would speak more in areas that he was more interested and knowledgeable in, how admirable. Headphones continued to blush while watching Skull enjoy talking about chargers. 

Suddenly Skull stopped and looked over at Headphones, Headphones on the other hand, awkwardly ducked into her arms. 

"Headphones, are you crying again?" Skull asked, more concerned, putting his hand on Headphone's shoulder with care. 

"n-no, I-" 

"It's okay Headphones" Skull helped Headphones lift her head up and gave her a tight hug, from a person who doesn't usually prefer physical touch, this was heavily valuable. 

"T-thanks.." Headphones murmured nervously, her face looked like it was the color of a rose, drops of sweat dripping down her cheek. 

"You didn't seem alright before I came here, were you distressed about something?" Skull loosened the hug a little bit, to look at Headphones in the eyes, her blue eyes could be mistaken for dark blue seas under a star filled sky. It felt as if this moment could last forever. 

"Um— y-yes, I was." Headphones admitted, she was slightly blushing in embarrassment, which only made Skull adore her even more, even Skull's bandana nearly slipped, but Skull quickly caught it with his fast reflexes. 

"Headphones, do you need to get something off your chest?" Skull asked, although with his lack of eyebrows, Headphones noticed a concerned expression on Skull's face. 

"..." Headphones did have something to get off her chest, but it felt like as her voice just disappeared, she couldn't reply to Skull at all, and she felt a small tear out the side of her eye. 

"Headphones- it's okay." Skull paused for a moment, giving Headphones a pat on the back to reassure her.  

Headphones looked back at Skull's eyes, and felt a small bit of hope. Skull was genuinely concerned for Headphones and was willing to be patient with her. 

Was this true love?  

♥︎ But wait- there's no way he feels the same way. ♡

Right? 

"Y-yeah- I do." Headphones replied. 

"Do you want to talk to me about it?" Skull asked, his ears peaking up after listening to Headphones. 

...

"Hmm, you really must feel troubled Headphones."  Skull sighed, just looking at Headphones to see if she had any other thoughts on her mind. 

Headphones only nodded, Skull again wondered if she was upset again, so he came up with an offer that Headphones couldn't refuse. 

"Headphones, if there's anything else on your mind later, want to work on your sniping skills at ammo knights tomorrow afternoon?" Skull offered, a slight rose colored blush coming from underneath his bandana, which he didn't know was visible, but Headphones chuckled at the sight and accepted with hesitation, or realization of what she just agreed to. 

"Well, I'm gonna go for the night, stay well, Headphones." Skull waved, and the two separated for the night, Skull walking home, and Headphones taking the Inkopolis Train. 

"See you tomorrow, Skull?"
