" Your hands are shaking." I laughed while he was applying the vermilion in my hair partition.

" Shut up."

" Apply it properly, you idiot, that's falling on my nose." I scruched my nose and flickered my eyes. He turned away and spoke up, " Apparantly that's a signal that you're going to get a lot of love in this marriage." Then he turned towards me, a sick smirk on his lips when he saw me glaring at him. " And I don't think you really like that fact, do you Mrs. Malik?"

This is how we did these bickerings since we saw each other earlier at the altar. He was too tall for me to put the garland on his neck. We bickered.

It was hard for me to sit down in the lehenga. We bickered.

My bangles got tangled with the thread of his sherwani. We bickered.

He was annoyed by the cameraman constantly yelling for his photos. We bickered.

After he finally clasped the mangalsutra around my neck and we were done with our pheras around the sacred fire, the priest announced us as husband and wife. " Now, you can touch the feet of the elders and take their blessings." The priest said and Reyaansh stood up from his seat before giving me his hand. I placed my small one in his large one, the bangles and kaleeras clanking on my wrists. " These are a lot, are your wrists not aching from these bangles?" He mumbled while I stood up with his support and Rhea came forward, again helping me stand up in the lehenga, like she's been doing. " This 5 kg lehenga, the generous amount of makeup and the heavy jewelleries, everything is hurting Mr. Malik but the beauty comes with a price doesn't it?" I spoke as he glanced down at my lehenga. " You could have skipped some of these." He said looking at the jewelleries. I chuckled and took out my palm from his large, warm hands. " Dulhan ka solah shringar hota hai yeh, kuch bhi chuta toh phir hum aapki dulhan nahi kehlayenge." I teased and he laughed, walking beside me while I walked towards his parents.

" Humari Dulhan?" I nodded as he glanced playfully at me with that smirk on his lips.

" Aapki dulhan." I clarified glancing at him with the same playful look. He chuckled and stopped in his track when his parents were in front of us. Both of us bent down and touched their feet before his mother made me stand up and gave me a small hug. " May you both have the best married life ahead. "
