#7 Left Unsaid: BEFORE

KITTEN

"Thank you, love!!" I shouted the moment I opened the van. Sumalubong agad si Zed sa akin na ang laki ng ngiti. He was carrying his gym bag and was wearing a blue sando and beach shorts.

If it wasn't for him and his persuasion skills, Mommy would not allow me to go! Just hearing Jaja's name, no na agad si Mommy kahit tungkol pa saan ang bagay. Kahit kaya kung nasa deathbed na niya si Jaja, Mommy will still refuse to make me go. Gano'n katindi ang despise niya kay Jaja! Well, it was Jaja's fault din naman. Nagpakilala kasi siya ng ugali kay Mommy. Even Tito Samuel (Pete's father) hates his guts! Simula no'n, hindi na allowed si Jaja sa house namin.

I landed on Zed's arms when I jumped from the van. Zed gladly wrapped me around his arms as he laughed. "Full of energy ka na naman. Mamaya papaalaga ka na naman sa akin 'pag napagod ka." he chuckled as he hugged me even tight. He's so sweet that sometimes my insides hurt because I know I'll never really get him. What we have is just what it is. Best friends, I guess?

Unti-unti niya akong ibinaba sa lupa, pero nanatili ang mga braso kong nakapulupot sa isang bisig niya. We started walking towards the gang, papasok sa entrance ng resort. Aine was leading the group, Agathon, tailing her closely. Jaja and Joie are arguing as they follow inside. Gen, also following closely, is wearing her headphones and is already inside her own world. Kayn is nowhere to be found. Balita ko, hindi siya pinayagan sa overnight ni Tito Aries. Even Pete is not around. I bet hindi pa siya tapos sa binge reading niya. But for sure, they will show up tomorrow, since tomorrow pa naman ang actual birthday bash ni Jaja.

"What do you want to do first?" Zed asked me as we followed the gang. I shrugged, "Anything you want to do first. You want to explore the place?"

"Yea, no. I'll just rest in bed." he shook his head at me. "If you want to go and check the place, maybe JJ is up to it."

Agad akong napailing rin sa kaniya, "No! Resting is good din. I'll rest with you!"

He chuckled, but it couldn't mask his somewhat irritation, as if he already had his own plans and wouldn't want anyone to figure it out.

At the time, I was clueless.
