It was getting dark now, Youngseo watched as the 5 girls made their way across the dimly lit, clearing the Cherry Blossom tree at its center. Youngseo hid behind the tree waiting for the girls to come and make her life easy, by providing her with what she needed to finish what she started over 1,000 years ago. "Finally! My future begins tonight. I knew Mokers wouldn't let me down."
She giggled as I'd she were a child all over again. When she spotted them, she melted into the shadows, ordering her excited heart to stay in her chest.
After walking up to the huge cherry blossom tree before them, the girls stood looking up at the tree, watching the blossoms float off with each puff of wind, making the whole scene magical, unreal, and a total rush! Youngseo had set up a little present for the 5 of them, and they did not disappoint her. They were all experienced at playing Who Done It, so of course they went right for her clues. It was going to take all of them thinking together for the "event" that was coming and to make it out with their minds attached.
"What the hell are we all doing here? If this is someone's idea of a joke, I'm likely to go smash them!" Yunah growled through clenched teeth.
"Decaf, girl! There is a reason why we are here. We just need to find it. Is there anything that strikes you as odd or out of place?" Moka asked.
"I've got $10 that says this was engineered by Youngseo." Iroha sneered.
"How else do you explain all 5 of us, here, at the same time when we have never really spent any time with each other outside of school activities? It had to be Youngseo, right?" Wonhee asked nervously, looking at each girl's face, searching them for answers none of them possessed. They sat in deafening silence, each one trying to figure out why they were here, who had brought them all together, and what was the point of all this.
"We all got the invitations to rush the LILLIES, but there had to be more candidates than just us," Yunah observed.
"Moka, don't you follow Youngseo around? I mean, she's your friend, right? You and her are the only LILLIES left." Iroha laughed, looking at her.
"If it was her, she's probably back at the bonfire all over Hee!" Yunah's face started getting red. Moka whirled around to face the taller girl.
"I am friends with her, and I'm still a LILY, so what? I gave her my honest opinion about the rushes this season. So if you have anything to say about her, tell her not me. I'm not her messenger or her babysitter!" Moka shouted.
The 4 of them were smiling or trying to hide their smiles, Moka had an airy tone to her voice, so when she got mad, her voice was tiny, big, but tiny. Their not taking her seriously was only making Moka angrier and had them laughing harder. Pretty soon, all 5 of them were on the ground laughing. Not a funny ha-ha, a chaotic one. A laugh out of pure insanity. It made Youngseo think she made a mistake somehow.
Once the girls got all of that nervous tension to break, they went into full 'Sherlock Mode' to figure out why they were there. Assuming it had something to do with Youngseo and the LILIES, there was a good chance they were just going through the rushing process. Youngseo didn't account for their through curiosity and what they would do to figure something out! As they searched the area around the tree, she had to shimmer a few times to avoid being caught. She couldn't keep doing this. She wasn't an Energizer bunny. Her aura had a limit, and shimmering took a lot out of her. Finally, Iroha saw the clue up in the tree!
'Thank God!', Youngseo thought, popping up behind the tree, trying to catch her breath.
"Hey! I see something!" Iroha cried. None of them could get to her stop or warn her before she at the tree and halfway to a low-hanging branch chasing some clue that probably wouldn't be worth it to find. She slipped twice, giving them all mini heart attacks, but she got up to whatever she was after, safely.
