Chloe woke up way too early the next morning. Claiming the bathroom the four girls shared was usually a drama, because all of the girls wanted to shower at the same time. Chloe didn't really mind waking up early so she could be the first one to use the bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror while she tried to brush all of the knots out of her hair. Her scar seemed to stare back at her. Chloe didn't necessarily find it beautiful or ugly, but it did draw attention to her. Years ago children at her school used to ask her where she got her scar. Eventually she got bored with saying "I don't know", so she told the kids that she slayed a dragon once. They found her quite weird after that, but it was still better than telling them the true story.

Chloe's first day of classes started off with her favourite subject, Arithmancy. Chloe was by no means an academic wonder, but she was strangely good at both Arithmancy and Ancient Runes. Though she loved the class, it was taught by professor Vector, which greatly took away from the joy Chloe got from Arithmancy. Professor Vector was strict, always gave too much homework, and seemed to dislike every student she ever encountered. However, she had once told Chloe that she saw potential in her, and that she could maybe even become the next Arithmancy professor. Of course Chloe had not taken the compliment from her strict professor lightly, and it made sense for her to pursue a future in Arithmancy as she enjoyed it much more than any subject she had ever been taught.

Sadly, not many of her friends agreed with her on this. The fifth-year Arithmancy class was awkwardly empty, only about five students had not yet dropped the course. Luckily Anglina had also decided to take the course, so Chloe didn't have to sit by all herself. Any joy Chloe had felt from being back at her favourite subject, was taken away when professor Vector gave them a two thousand word essay about numerology to finish by next class, which was only three days away.

"I should have never let you convince me to take this horrific class." Angelina whispered to Chloe.

Chloe sighed, knowing Angelina hadn't really wanted to take the class at all. "Then maybe you should be less easy to influence."

Angelina playfully rolled her eyes. "Whatever, I'm copying from your essay."

"Naturally," Chloe stated, "I am simply so inspiring that you could not do any different than to let my essay inspire yours."

"Naturally." Angelina agreed, a small smile on her face.

The first week back at Hogwarts went by pretty quickly. Class with Remus was, as Chloe had expected, not really awkward at all. It was actually way more fun than Defence Against the Dark Arts was with the previous professors, which luckily Chloe's classmates agreed on. Since Chloe's last name was Lupin, it was quite obvious that Remus and her had some connection, but so far none of her classmates had made a big deal about it.

After the first week, professor Vector called Chloe to her desk at the end of the class. Of course this freaked Chloe out, but if it was about Chloe and Angelina's chatter throughout the class, surely Angelina would have had to stay as well.

"So, I assume you know why I called you over to my desk." Professor Vector stated, looking sternly over her glasses.

Chloe nervously pushed her own glasses further up her nose. "I am afraid I don't, professor."

Professor Vector sighed seriously. "Well, well, well, it seems your intelligence for Divination is not as high as your intelligence for Arithmancy."

Chloe frowned in confusion. What an odd woman. "Uhm, thank you?"

"I have asked you here," Professor Vector leaned over her desk, intimidating Chloe even more, "to talk about your essay." Chloe felt herself getting hot, worried that Angelina had taken a bit too much inspiration from her own essay. "It was exceptionally good."
