I woke with a gasp of cold sweat streaming down my forehead. I was dreaming of everyone finding out my secret and being discovered about my identity, and that my least favorite teacher was the one who told everyone. That was scary, weird and terrifying. Oh, wait that's a nightmare.
"Haha!" I laughed to myself.
I looked around me, but it's not my room. It looked like something out of a rich person's guest room. 'Oh my, so my nightmare was real.' I thought to myself. 'Damn it.' I glanced around me until my eyes landed on a girl.
"Oh hey" I said unsure what to say. She looked at me and flashed me with a cute smile.
"Hi, my name is Orchid. I am going to be your personal maid. Please come with me!" Orchid said cheerfully
I looked at my back to see my wings, I sighed to myself. Back then I would have hid them, but not anymore now that they found me.
My mood darkened from the unpleasant thought. I followed Orchid to what looked like a garden. It was misty, mysterious with ivy, dark crimson roses, and lavender with a touch of wisteria. 'I am such a plant nerd.' I snorted myself. This place looks like something from a fantasy.
Orchid stopped, and I almost crashed into her. In front of us was a very pretty lady with sharp green snake-like eyes and creamy blond hair. She had golden thin rectangular glasses, and for some reason a mark on her forehead shaped like a red diamond. That symbol was also on her necklace.
This was an interesting contrast with the light silk blue dress as well as the black choker with a rose. 'Oh boy' I thought to myself, all the pieces clicked in.
"I can see you finally figured it out. Had you?!" said Lady Cassiopeia, known as the mind reader.
She was also known to figure out the great assassination of King Earl along with a dude named Festus who married into the family his ability is The Sky, mostly Clouds. "What's my fate now?" I asked glaring at her. "Well hon, I think you know that from reading your thoughts" She smiled with a gleam in her eyes. "Well, I cannot say fate is exactly kind, but I promise you can have a chance in love." She said with a sad but hopeful smile.
" I found the guy I loved."
"Yeah, but you had more of a choice. I don't." I said grumpily.
"You may think that, but I can assure you. I have suffered too; it is not easy being in this family. I am related to them yes, but my husband had to prove himself repeatedly." She said sharply.
Her eye gleaming with malice. 'Well, beware the scary lady.' Lady Cassiopeia narrowed her eyes before bursting into laughter.
"I cannot say I am scary." Lady Cassiopeia said hugging herself from laughter.
"Oh, my I might need to be careful with you Emery, your thoughts are quite funny." she said wiping the tears from her eyes.
"But at least it is about time you meet your match." Lady Cassiopeia said with a mischievous smirk on her light pink, rosy lips.
"Who designed the garden?" I asked changing the subject.
"It looks like the gardener had an emo phase or something?" I added.
She laughed again quite amused by this girl soon to be family.
"I would love to talk to you some more but at last let's go to my nieces and nephews and son and daughters are waiting." she said cheerfully.
"Come with me!' She said before walking to the next destination as Orchid followed her. I sighed again. It felt like the whole thing was a dream. I chased after them. I managed to catch up to them when they turned a corner inside the great palace, and I couldn't find them.
