Askel made his way to the front gates of Hogwarts. He tried not to shiver as the dementors glided by, their gaping faces and cold aura reminded him of his time in Azkaban. Froot hid in his coat and hissed when a dementor got too close.

Askel touched the gates of Hogwarts and pushed them open. As he walked into the courtyard he didn't see any students outside. Usually, students would be studying for their exams or celebrating the new year.

But there was no laughter, no stressing out about exams, no students.

Askel quickly walked through the hallways as he made his way to the headmaster's office. All he could see was dementors gliding outside. The ominous mood was obvious inside the school.

Finally, Askel saw the headmaster's office and made his way towards the statue.

"Password?"

Askel blinked.

"I don't know the password?" He admitted, "I'm here to Severus Snape."

"No password, no entry," the statue huffed

"You little shit!" Askel snapped. "Do you know who I am? Let me in!"

"No!"

Askel pulled out his wand and pointed it at the statue.

"Redu-" he began to stay but a hand came out and pushed his wand.

Askel turned to confront whoever stopped him but he immediately stopped when he saw who it was.

"The password is Wattlebird," Snape said

"How the fuck was I supposed to know that!" Askel growled

Snape sighed and walked towards his office. Askel followed but shot the statue a nasty glare.

"Why are you here?" He asked as they went up the stairs.

"A friend can't stop by to say hello?" Askel asked innocently

"No, because we are not friends," Snape glared

"You're breaking my heart..."

"We have all been instructed to bring you in."

Askel sat down in the big fluffy chair.

"Will you do it?"

Snape peered at the man.

"I will wait to see what becomes of you, Askel. The same can not be said for the rest of the staff,"  he warned

Askel looked up at the empty portraits of the former headmasters and then back at Snape.

"I'm here because..." he started, "because I still care about the students. I have to make sure they're okay, If I am to leave them under your care, I must stop in every once in a while."

"Dumbledore saw great promise in you Askel," Snape said

"That old man had one too many loose bolts,"

"You have many great qualities Askel you just didn't realize it..." he muttered

"What's with the flattery?"

"It's not flattery as it's more the truth,"

"The truth can be twisted,"

"In your case, it's been twisted many times. Has it not?"

Askel shot him a warning glance.

"I have no idea what you're referring to?" He murmured

"Don't you?" Snape challenged, "The secret that haunts you. The secret as to why you won't allow yourself a sliver of happiness in this world. The truth is your sister-"
