Askel ran faster than he had ever run in his life. He looked throughout the hallways for even a glimpse of Draco. Realizing he probably was still with his parents, he took a deep breath and entered into the dark and cold sitting room.

"What in the hell are you doing here?" Narcissa asked quietly

Lucius turned and raised his eyebrow as Askel stood next to both of them. He saw Hermione lying on the floor, her right arm bleeding profusely.

"So torturing children is your new level of deranged,"

"She's hardly a child and you're one to talk," Lucius snapped

Askel flinched and looked towards Draco who was shaking in the corner.

"My mother?" He asked Narcissa after a moment of silence.

"Last I saw of her she was leaving back to your home. But she might come back with this news..." Narcissa continued

Askel moved towards Draco and reached out to grab his hand. Draco was shaking in fear but he took his hand.

"Is there a reason why you've come for my son?" Lucius hissed, "you have no right!"

Askel's jaw tightened. He knew this confrontation was inevitable, but it didn't make it any easier.

"I'm taking him because I don't want him to become myself," he said, his voice steady but filled with intensity

Narcissa's eyes widened.

"What do you mean? What have you told him?" She asked, her voice trembling

"I told him the truth," Askel replied, his eyes locking onto hers, "I am a monster, the ones that you tell your children at night, the ones that scare you when you simply mention their name. And I fear that if he stays here, he will become one too."

Lucius scoffed, anger flashing in his eyes.

"And you think taking him away from us will solve anything? We're his parents!"

"You've failed him!" Askel snapped as he gripped Draco's hand tighter, "You failed to protect him. Failed to keep him safe from... from this..."

Narcissa shook her head, tears welling up.

"We love him. We've done everything we can to protec-"

"Love isn't always enough!" Askel cut her off in anger, "Sometimes it takes taking action, no matter how hard it is."

Lucius opened his mouth to argue, but Askel cut him off.

"I'm doing this because I care about Draco. More than you can understand. If you want to blame someone... blame yourself. I'm not letting him turn into a monster."

Narcissa's tears began to flow but Bellatrix cut her off by walking over to Hermione.

"As for this one, I can't say the same..." she smiled

"Like hell!" Someone screamed

Askel saw Ron run out of a corner with a wand raised, and Harry followed. As spells were hit back and forth Askel yanked Draco and pushed him towards a corner. Pulling out his wand he faced the chaos.

Askel began battling Lucius Malfoy at full force.

"Stupefy,"

"Expelliarmus,"

"Avada Kedavra,"

"Crucio,"

"Confringo"

"Rictumsepra"

"Expulso"

"Bombarda"
