Morgan didn't want to be back in Mystic Falls. Not really ever. She had left that life behind along with the name Morgan. She was now Amour Vynewood and she preferred that name. She preferred the life that came with it as well. But that didn't mean that she didn't love her mother. And that being called back to the shithole town for her unexpected funeral wasn't the worst thing to happen to her.

Amour cried through the drive from her coastal Connecticut town. Her eyes were puffy and red. A couple of her coven members had offered to do the trip with her but she denied them. She needed to do this alone. Hours later, she was in front of her childhood home. Her heart raced. She hadn't been there in eight years. When she wanted to see her mother she took her to lunch at Whitmore.

There was a green VW bug in the driveway, most likely her niece Bonnie. They were only about seven or eight years apart in age. Sheila had Morgan quite late in life. Amour could feel the death. There had been vampires, at least a couple, in the area. Amour rolled her eyes. She hated most vampires. Even as the type of the witch she was.

Amour used her keys to open the door. "Bonnie?" she called out. She hadn't actually seen her niece since her thirteen birthday. Sheila had taken them to an adult tea party then a picnic in the park. Bonnie came from the back of the house.

"Auntie Mor?" seeing each other seemed to bring the emotion back. She walked forth quickly to grab her in an embrace. Bonnie was quite shorter than her but so was Abigail and Sheila.

They eventually moved to the couch and she was able to catch her breath. "What happened?" she asked Bonnie.

"I-I don't know," Amour side-eyed her niece, "They said her heart went out."

"Mother was perfectly healthy. She never even believed in saturated fats. No high blood pressure, nothing."

"I-I don't know." Bonnie stood up quickly and Amour got up too and became angry.

"So you're telling me if I summon my mother's spirit from the other side right now she'll say the exact same." Bonnie looked shocked.

"You're a witch?"

" I was always ten times the better witch than Abigail. Did you think you were the only one? That's a bit narcissistic."

"I- I just wanted to help my friend and her boyfriend!" she tried to explain. AMour rolled her eyes.

"So you messed with something you hadn't trained in and didn't understand, leaving all the pressure on my mother."

"She offered and she didn't say anything!"

"Because her precious Bonnie guilted her! If not that, your friends threatened her."

"It wasn't like that." Amour scoffed.
