Dance of eternal longing

Once Earth's gaze met the moon's tender gleam,

once she turned her glance to me, it seemed.

I, in awe, beheld her grace,

eternally entranced.

The moon, in timeless orbit, circles Earth's domain,

Just as I, in perpetual devotion, in her orbit remain.

Bound by her allure, tethered to her pull,

In this dance of eternity, her embrace of my soul does lull,

Yet she remains beyond my grasp, forever whole.

She, my Earth, unpredictable, yet my grounding rock,

I, her devoted moon, in celestial flock, Inseparable in our cosmic lock.

But Earth, a world apart, can never be my own,

Just as I, the moon, in longing, have always known.
