Kiyomi's night was filled with dreams of melodies and misgivings that brought forth a mix of excitement and nervousness. The morning sun brought reality back, its golden warmth slowly seeping in through the window, illuminating the letter from the Sibelius School of Symphony.
As the clock ticked closer to 12 p.m., the house filled with an eerie silence. Sakura's bakery was closed for the rest of the day, and Kiyomi's parents were ensconced in soft whispers, their faces a blend of worry and pride.
Finally, the anticipated knock echoed, causing Kiyomi's heart to flutter. She opened the door to meet a tall, bespectacled man dressed elegantly but sternly. He introduced himself as Mr. Satou, the academy's representative.
Mr. Satou quickly went to work, informing Kiyomi what would happen next. "We need to gather your things, Miss Aizawa. We will be procuring your basic needs such as your uniform, stationery, toiletries, and so on from a stationery shop downtown.Then we shall go to Strads Suites,which I believe is the best violin shop in Japan,to get everything you shall need."
The day consisted of filling checklist after checklist. While going through town, Kiyomi couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness, as she realized what she is leaving behind. The streets, Sakura's bakery, her family, and friends now felt dearer than ever.
It was the end of the day, and she and Mr. Satou were heading back home when they bumped into Kiyomi's best friends,Reiko and Sorano,walking to Kiyomi's house."OMG!Kiyomi!There you are!We were looking for you!We-"Suddenly,they stopped mid sentence and stared at Mr. Satou.
Kiyomi's POV
Gosh,they still are in sync after so long...Well,I guess I should explain,Reiko and Sorano are twins and are have been speaking in sync since I knew them.Sorano plays the flute and Reiko plays the piano,it's quite nice really,we always do a triplet when we have our instruments.Usally their quite chatty but their being quite quiet right now,weird..."OMGOMG, you got into SSS too, Kiyomi?!"Welp,never mind,anywa-"Wait, you guys got in?"I squealed."Yep!We got our letter today!"they replied, shaking their heads violently.Omg.This, it is so cool!I'm going to Sibelius School of Symphony with my two besties!"Miss Kiyomi?We should be getting back now."Mr. Satou suddenly whispered."Oh- ok.Bye guys! See you again at school!"I said back to my friends."Awww bye Kiyomi!"Reiko cried.
