Work, and so much work. It just keeps piling up...

It was a late afternoon, approaching evening, in Kivotos. Sensei was in his office at Schale, going over paperwork. Like usual, the work was appearing to be endless at this point. He had been at it since dawn, which was earlier than usual, with the hopes that it would lessen the amount, but it didn't seem like it was making much of a dent, especially with requests coming in and out. Hopefully, it would cease soon.

"Rinny's strict formatting and minute protocols when it comes to reports doesn't help..." Sensei said with slight exasperation, staring at his monitor, unblinking.

Reports had to be written in a formal tone, even though most, if not all of them were confident files. Stamps had to be directly in the indicated position and not a centimeter off. A long list could be made. At least Rin wasn't too strict about paperwork deadlines given how Sensei had more paperwork than time when it came to his Schale duties.

"Rinny?" Mari, from the Sisterhood, repeated the name. She was nearby at one of the bookcases. She slid the one of the glass panels closed and walked over.

Mari had been here, on duty, since 9 AM, helping out in any way she could, such organizing paperwork and relaying any request that would come in, which she was excellent at. Sensei imagined that while Mari probably wouldn't have the skills to deal with the paperwork that he handled here at Schale, she could organize everything well.

The Sisterhood just gave that aura of being composed and neat. Ui or Shimiko would also be well-suited in that regard, too, since they were the Library Committee. Maybe one of these days.

"Oh, I said that out loud, did I...?"

"You did," said Mari, smiling as if it were amusing. "Pardon if you don't mind me asking this, Tomo-sensei, but could you be referring to the Acting President herself?"

He turned away from his monitor. "...Yeah, I was talking about her. The rules she has when it comes to paperwork are quite excessive."

"Rules are rules for a reason, Sensei."

"I know..." To hear this from one of his own students, it was funny.

He knew shouldn't be complaining about paperwork to his students. It wasn't proper, over something simple like this. It was time to change the topic. "You know, she doesn't like it when I call her that."

"I have not been able to meet her much, but the Acting President is quite strict. Some Trinity students have mentioned that, too. Perhaps she wants everything to be formal."

"That's putting it lightly..."

"It's the same with Sakurako from the Sisterhood," Mari continued, "As the leader, she does the same. One of the few times she tried acting differently elicited varying responses from other Trinity students, even other Sisters."

"I can imagine."

"It's interesting when I think about how you're not too strict yourself. If you weren't as you were, I imagine Kivotos would be a very different place."

"Don't mention it. I'm just doing what I should do as an adult."

"Sometimes you can be too much, however."

"Rin probably thinks the same... Now that I think about it, when I call Rin that, it's like when I call you Sister Mari. Except you aren't angry about it."

Mari's composed face fell flat and she had a wry smile. "That's because it's embarrassing..."

"Sister Mari!"

"S-Sensei, please, don't do that again...!"

"I'm just teasing. I still remember what happened last time I did." Sensei looked off to the side as he recalled.
