Log 2# It's Free Loot, Basically

Explosion erupts in a forest as sounds of battle begin.

“What the– Ahhh!” A robed woman exclaimed but was hit by an arrow in the shoulder. “Shield Of Stone!” Said a knight carrying only a shield, causing several large stone slabs to unearth themselves around the woman. “[PrincessBlaze] are you ok!” He asked as he and two others joined her in the ring of stone. She gave him a scowl even with the pain. “Not the time Barry! It's poison tipped to give me an antidote already!” She yelled.

“Princess as I have told you, my name is [KnightBarry]” The man decided to argue instead of giving the antidote. “For god sakes drop the RP and give her the goddamn antidote” The archer of the group yelled as he fired arrows in the direction he thought their ambusher were. The man relented and gave the antidote. “Finally, thanks Alex'” Blaze relished the stop of the stinging. Thanking the archer instead of Barry for obvious reasons.

“Zack how many… didn't make it” Blaze asked with a pained expression. The others were silent as the healer peeked from their cover and saw 3 bodies pelted with arrows. “Juniper, Keith and Leo…” Zack said. Even though Blaze wanted to atleast get their friends bodies to give a proper burial she knew their enemy too well. “It's the Lunatics” She said in a defeated tone.

She saw the doubt and worry in her remaining party eyes and decided to explain. “A sudden salvo of poison tipped crossbow bolts which were skill boosted to hit harder or move faster is staple of their Hangman Crossbowmen. Plus only those bastards would let us heal in here, they're playing with us” Even Barry had his head down, they all knew the only way for them to survive is if one of them had to be bait.

“I–” “No” Barry tried to volunteer but was immediately denied. “Even when someone wastes the salvo of those bastards there would still be Close Rangers to prevent us escaping while the crossbowmen reloaded. The Lunatics employ this strategy to make their victims as desperate as possible otherwise they would have rushed after they fired” Those were the kinds of people they were dealing with. One's who didn't know the word mercy but knew cruelty. “I hate you Barry but we need you to break through whatever they have” This is what it came to. Even her group who was brave enough to venture out of the safe zone had come to this.

The good old Friendship Breaker. It is really effective on higher level players as they would argue for so long on who would be bait and lose their stuff. Also I did not expect you to be a detective, Barry. Heck I didn't expect for you to be present during his sessions given you know what is coming.

You think I wouldn't recognize you? At first I didn't but… your voice was familiar and did some digging last night, found you played Eterna as a tank. And your expression when you walk in confirmed things for me. Pretty good, aren't I?

“I'll go” Zack the healer stepped up. The remaining 3 looked in utter shock when volunteered, Blaze more with the determination in his eyes. “Priest Zack, have you gone mad!” Barry yelled. “You're our healer, you won't last minute out there!” Alex continued but never did the healer’s gaze weavered. “We don't need someone who can take their hits. We just need them to take the bait, isn't that right Blaze?” He looked towards his leader and held his gaze. “Zack this a devil's trick and as a man of faith you should not give in–” Seems like Barry won't drop character no matter what. “You know you will die, right?” Barry looked at Blaze bewildered. She didn't sound like she was trying to talk some sense to Zack but asking for his confirmation. “You can't be serious, Jesus Christ you are” Barry didn't know what to do and broke character.
