Author's POV
Amidst the colours of Holi and coloured faces, Ruhi in a plain cream lehenga ran to her room, hiding from her certain someone.
Sweating and restless, Ruhi closed the door and plopped down on her bed.
“Hey prabhu, hey Shiva aaj meri raksha karna apne aradhye se,” she prayed again and again, not stopping for a second.
While she did so, the door opened with a crack causing Ruhi to look at the door wide eyed.
Peace reached her when she saw the person entering wasn't the one she was hiding from, but instead Awarna.
“Kya hua Ruhi? Itna shweth? Bhag kyu rahi thi tum?” Awarna questioned sitting next to Shri with a glass in her hand.
“Yeh tumhare haath main kya hai Awarna?” Ruhi asked, eyeing the glass suspiciously and ignored the question directed at her.
‘Kuch toh gadbad hai. Aakhir yeh achanak doodh kyu le aayi?’ Ruhi thought, Kanha's mischievous pranks playing in her mind.
“Yeh thandaai hai. Jab tum kaksh main bhagi toh tum par itna shweth tha ki main paakshala se thandaai leke aayi taki tumhara dimaag shant ho,” Awarna explained, and Ruhi's suspicion flew away.
“Dhanyewaad. Iski hi jarurat thi mujhe abhi,” thanking Awarna, Ruhi gulped down the glass on one go.
‘Hash, bach gayi. Nahi toh Dwarkadhish aur Ruhi dono meri vaat lagate,’ Awarna sighed to herself and left the room taking Ruhi's permission.
Meanwhile.....
Kailash
“Devi, aapke bhrata shri kya shadyantr rach rahe hai?” Lord Shiva questioned maa Parvati, sarcasm dripping from his voice.
“Yeh toh suyam bhrata shri hi jaane Swami. Unke hriday mein kya chhipa hai veh mujhr kaise gyaath ho sakta hai,” Maa reply in the same tune as baba and both started laughing.
While the poor Nandi Maharaj sitting at their feet just wondered how will Ruhi be safe from Dwarikadhish Shri Krishn and his mischievous pranks.

Dwarika Nagri
Running his gaze here and there, Dwarikadhish entered his kaksh with a thaali of gulaal in his hands.
But before he turned to look at Ruhi, he heard a child giggle.
‘Yeh shishu kaha hasa?! Sambh aur Pradyumn toh bahar Holi khel rahe hai. Yaha kiska shishu hai?’ Thinking so, Kanha turned around to see Ruhi sitting on the bed colourless and giggling to herself.
And then his mischievous smile came back to his flawless face.
Keeping the Thaali on the table, Kanha slowly moved to the window which was on Ruhi's side of bed.
‘Aradhye, yeh kya kar rahe hai aap?’ The voice rang in his head and Kanha rolled his eyes dramatically.
‘Vahi jo har purush karta hai aradhye,’ Kanha said in his mind looking up at the sky impatiently.
‘Kya?’ Asked Mahadev, already loving the small convo with his Prabhu.
‘Apni aradhangini se vaartalaap, aur kya,’ Kanha rolled his eyes again, this time stepping closer to Ruhi.
