The Vanessa Problem

Today is the day I had to hang out with Vanessa I've been dreading it all week Eddie told me it's fine to hang out and tell her I don't  like her in that way it's just a little uncomfortable. As I walked over to La Push where we were meeting all I could think about is my Eddie. I sighed as I saw her waiting sitting on that log near the water and all I could think about it the first time I'd seen Edward when I was out in the woods. God this is going to be a long night. "Jake! I've been waiting so long for this" she smiled. "Hi, Vanessa" I slightly smiled back "soo what's up?"

I was starting off at the stars just trying to think of how to tell her- "you okay Jake?" She put her hand on mine. I turned to look at her "See the thing is-" she started to lean in. I stood up super fast. "Well you see I'm sorry about all this I was just trying to explain I don't like you how you uh like me.." "I'm really sorry I hope you understand it's just I thought you knew we were just friends and I well I've been trying to think of a way to tell you.." shut up  Jake geez my mind was screaming at me. "Oh um I'm sorry it's just all your friends said you liked me.." "I'm very sorry but I've never even mentioned anything about you to them." As soon as I said that Vanessa started crying and ran off I didn't mean to be harsh I was just being honest. God I need to see Edward.
