Lewis stood frozen, his heart pounding in his chest as the door of the pub creaked open. The figure that stepped inside was tall, with sharp features softened by the dim light. Augustine's eyes met his, a mix of confusion and curiosity flickering in their depths. The noise of the pub faded into distant hum, leaving just the two of them in that fleeting moment.
Swallowing hard, Lewis took a hesitant step forward, his breathed hitching as he closed the distance between them. The dare echoed in his mind, but it was more than that now- a strange pull an urge he couldn't explain.
"Sorry about this," Lewis whispered, his voice trembling slightly, bit Augustine didn't pull away- If anything the corner of his mouth lifted in the faintest smiles, almost as if he were daring Lewis to continue.
Lewis reached out, his finger brushing against Augustine's cheek, the touch was electric and surprisingly tender. He leaned in, every second stretching out as their lips finally met. The kiss was soft at first,tentative- Lewis's lips grazing Augustine's testing the waters. But then something shifted.
Augustine responded, his hand finding its way to the back of Lewis's neck, pulling him closer. The kiss deepened, growing more urgent, as if they were both searching for something in each other. The warmth of Augustine's lips against his sent a shiver down Lewis's spine, the world outside disappearing completely.
In that instant, nothing else mattered. Not the dare, not the people watching, not even the confusion that would surely follow. All that existed was intoxicating sensation of Augustine's mouth moving against his, the taste of something forbidden but irresistible.
When they finally broke apart, both were breathless, their foreheads resting against each other as they tried to process what had just happened. Lewis opened his eyes to find Augustine staring at him, a mix of surprise and something deeper reflecting in his gaze. Neither spoke but in that silent exchange, they both knew that this kiss- the moment- had changed everything.
Augustine was about to speak when Lewis was pulled away from him by Jake. "Lewis we need to go," Jake said before leading Lewis out of the pub.
Augustine's pov
'Lewis' the name echoed in my mind, there was something about him made me want to be close to him, protect and even spoil him. I had come to the pub to meet a client but got spell- bounded by Lewis's beauty.
I took my phone and contacted my PA to postponed the meeting because I would not concentrate with work when he is on my mind now(Lewis). I quickly walked out if the pub hoping to have a glimpse of my angel but he was nowhere in sight. I gave up(nah no totally) I retired to my house.
The house felt empty the staffs were now with their families. I walked in my room and took my clothes off, I walked to the bathroom and completed my nightly routine before plopping on my king sized bed. I closed my eyes but my mind kept replaying the kiss.
