I BITE MY NAIL NERVOUSLY, as I see new guy backing up as the raptors are quickly approaching. Owen then opens the cage and jumps in his place, causing the raptors to pay attention to him.

"Owen, NO!" Barry yells as Owen runs inside the cage. Owen ignores him and runs out to the raptors as they all turn their focus off of Leon to him.

"Oh no, no, hold your fire!" Owen yells at the rangers who have guns. He puts his finger up to them so they pause and I see them look at each other confused.

"Hold your fire, do not fire!" He doesnt take eyes off the animals to say that. I feel my stomach twisting as hes inside. I know he'll be okay its Owen, but on the other hand they're still raptors...

"Put 12 amps in these animals, they're never gonna trust me again." He says holding his hand out. Owen looks at all the raptors as they start to be anxiously patient looking at their next meal.

"Blue, stand down. Stand down." Owen focuses his attention onto Blue who doesnt listen, snapping at him. "Hey, hey! What did I just say? Delta, I see you. Back up." He puts his other hand out, in Deltas direction. Ive always loved Delta, and shes the only one who never snarled at me and always seemed to enjoy it when I care for her. Delta backs down as he holds his hand out to her, but moves her claws around.

"Okay, good. Good. Charlie? Stay right there. Good." Owen looks between all of them. They actually arent eating him. Theres still a bond between them, and trust. They are getting a little testy though. They creep closer and closer inch by inch towards Owen. Im chewing through my nail at this point.

"Close the gate." Owen says to Barry, who is near the door controls. Owen's eyes never leave the large predators in front of him.

"Are you crazy?!" Barry questions him. He doesnt move and just stands there tensed up at the scene.

"Just trust me." Owen still keeps the animals at bay, who are still slowly inching him in. He's getting closer to the gate but he's still a good few feet away.

"Close the gate!" Leon screams. Barry obliges and runs over to close it, pushing the small red button. Owen doesnt move much, but backs up slowly towards the gate, and at the last possible second, he drops down and rolls underneath as the gate slams shut. The raptors try to follow and ram their heads into the metal, unsuccessful at capturing him.

"I'm okay. Yeah." He says as Barry helps him up. I feel my anxiety slip away as he brushes himself off, still alive and intact.

"You're the new guy, right?" Owen turns his attention to Leon, who was panting still shocked at the situation. Im sure his back is killing him, he took a huge fall off of the balcony.

"Yeah." He answers honestly. Leon hadnt been with us for a long time, just joining us a few weeks ago.

"You ever wonder why there was a job opening? Hey. Don't ever turn your back to the cage." Owen tells him and when he turns around, Echo is gripping the fence angry she couldnt reach him. Leon quickly stands up and backs away from the now retreating Echo.

"Who let the pig out of the pen?" I hear someone scream in the distance. I slowly back up as Owen looks over at me. Owen was still in the cage so I take a risk and make a run for it. I turn around and set for the park.

"Dont let her leave!" Someone in the distance yells. I speed off, heading towards the direction of the park. I feel my fight or flight activating as the cool breeze flows through my hair.

I finally make it into the park, still not stopping. I didnt want to risk getting caught. I was periodically looking behind me, and I wasnt seeing anyone behind me after I entered passed the food section. When I turned my head towards my front it was too late and I was taking down a kid by the Gentle Giants petting zoo.

"Oh shi...oot Im sorry!" I gasp and help him up, catching my language. He brushes himself off and smiles at me giving a small acceptance. An older kid who seems to be around my age looks at me and smirks.

"Oh hey. What's your name?" He looks slyly at me. I can tells hes trying to flirt but hes kinda cute so I'll take it. I dont really see anyone else my age anymore since I havent been at school.

"Im Alex Webb, and you are..." I roll my hand in a 'go on' type manner. He chuckles at the action and continues.

"Zach. Zach Mitchell. And the idiot you bumped into is Gray." He points to the kid I had previously knocked over. I look at the boy who is too absorbed in his own world.

"Dont call him that he's so cute!" I defend him whos taking photos of the baby dinosaurs. Hes clicking away on his digital camera.

"And I'm not?" Zach puts a hand on his chest, in a mock offended way. I laugh at him, placing my hand on my hip.

"Yeah sure. You're cute too. You didn't let me finish." I say smirking. A little harmless flirting wont hurt. Its not like I have a boyfriend or anything.

"Lift me up. I can't see!" Gray jumps up and down, still looking for an opportunity to see more dinosaurs.

"I'm not Dad. And you're not five." He shakes his head and looks back at me to continue the conversation. I grab the end of my hair, amused by the situation.

"I can still ride the Triceratops. I'm 47-and-a-half inches." He peeks around a kid. I wish this was around when I was a kid to ride one of the dinosaurs, little me would have loved that.

"This place is for little kids." Zach scoffs. I have always loved this place cause the babies are so cute.

"Yeah, I know. Wanna go on the spinning dinosaur eggs?" Gray suggests, finally getting a good enough angle to his liking, snapping a few more photos.

"Nope. Cover up your dork pouch." Zach pulls Grays shirt down. I laugh at the two. "Whats so funny over there?" He looks at me smiling. I shake my head with a smile plastered across my face.

"Nothing!" I quickly peep. Zach looks behind him at a woman wearing all white, clearly distracted by her phone call. It looks like he is about to seize some opportunity.

"Scatter." Zach hits Gray on the shoulder. Gray turns around to look at his older brother.

"What?" Gray looks at him confused. Zach ignores his confusion and grabs his arm.

"Go. Run. Go!" Zach starts to run and so does Gray. I just stand there, sad to see them go without a goodbye when Zach turns around. "And you're coming too!" He laughs and grabs my hand pulling me along with him. Its not like I had any other place to go, I was just on the run. I feel butterflies in my stomach as I'm holding his hand but I ignore it enjoying the moment. We get closer to the Tyrannosaurus Kingdom they announce that the feeding is about to start.

"T-Rex! Come on, guys! Come on!" Gray yells at us excitedly. He jumps up and down and runs into the T-Rex area.

"Okay." Zach agrees, letting him run off by himself.

"Let's go!" Gray waves us towards him and finally runs off out of sight.

"Come on!" I laugh and this time I drag him with me. Butterflies erupted at the touch but I push past it trying to find the little boy.
