Dreams

In dreams, you come to me, it seems,
I yearn for your presence, in silent schemes.
I hold your hand, your breath I borrow,
In this ephemeral world, I find no sorrow.

Each night, this dream, a vivid sight,
I paint my world with colors bright.
My highest aim, your heart to win,
To melt the barriers, to draw you in.

But at dawn's break, I wake, alone,
The ache persists, my heart of stone.
Day by day, the yearning stays,
Relieve me, end this ceaseless maze.

I'm aware you're but a dream's appeal,
Yet your presence, my senses feel.
In your embrace, I'm wholly whole,
A part of your heart, my longing soul.

So please,
visit my dreams once more,
Let me hold you like once before.
Feel your breath, your touch so near,
In your embrace, I'll conquer fear.

I understand it's a dream, not real,
But it's the only way I truly feel.
So please, grace my dreams tonight,
Let me love you in the pale moonlight.
