New Day, New Beginning (An Azur Lane Story)

Reunion

Nearly a month has passed since Cade has arrived, and things so far have been running smoothly at Azur lane. New constructions have been made, combat operations across the ocean are going as planned, and new training regiments are in place.

Safe to say, his time as commander is going great.

Well... a bit too great.

Whenever Cade would get his free time during office hours, some of the shipgirls like to shoot their shot and hang out with him. Obviously, he's going to accept their offers because he doesn't want to be rude to them.

Him hanging out with others has had a positive effect on them, because now they look to him as source for comfort

Take Arizona, for example. Arizona has been having frequent nightmares of her past life as a warship. She remembers her ship sinking during the Pearl Harbor attacks, and the men trapped inside, screaming for help. 

Cade found her crying alone one night, and asks her about her troubles. She told him about her dreams, and he offered her to stay with him for the night. His reason being he was in a similar situation.

"Whenever i had nightmares, i would ask someone i care about to stay with me for the night. One time I asked my best friend Jack to stick with me for the night, when we were kids. Slept like a baby afterwards."

Arizona accepted his offer and slept on his bed. He was going to sleep on the floor so that he wouldn't bother her, but Arizona told him she does not mind him sleeping with her. He accepts the gesture and sleeps with her.

When they both woke up, Arizona told Cade she had a wonderful sleep. No nightmares or anything. She felt safe. She thanked him by kissing him on the cheek.

She won't be only one thanking Cade in that manner.

Soon, the girls would begin to gossip amongst one another and speculate on the commander's love life. The way he's been acting makes them believe he's experienced. The only way to find out is to confront him directly.

Cut to present day, that is what Atago intend to find out.

She was asked by Cade to accompany him during his break, and both are headed to the port.

"Shikikan, are you taking me out on a date?~" Atago said mischievously, while holding onto his arm.

"Well, you did say you wanted me to spoil you, so I thought I treat you something nice." Cade said.

"Ooh, you know my weakness is a delicious snack~"

While on their way to the ice cream stand, Atago asks Cade something that was on her mind.

"Shikikan."

"Yeah?"

"I must ask... when you said I was not the first woman to... call you a stallion... what do you mean by that?" Atago asks curiously.

"Well... you see, i've... been with some girls during highschool... i've actually... done it with a couple of girls..."

Atago blinked at this revelation.

"...you slept with them?~" atago teases

Cade nodded, a goofy smirk on his face.

"Ooh, so you are "experienced" with women."

"Eh, some of those experiences are just one time- flings, while others... are people that i've known for a while."

"And I assume word of your prowess started spreading?" Atago asks.

"You could say that. Honestly, I am used to this kind of attention. It's why it didn't bother me when you girls started looking at me in that way."

"Because you figured one of these days, one of us would be brave enough to become... very intimate with you."
