Quinn ended up being fed everything on the plate of food as well as some more of the sweet bread that Griffin had but two different types, he didn't know what they were but they were so good. Quinn sits on the bed with his legs crossed as he nibbles on the last piece of sweet bread that Griffin said he had to eat after he finished what was on the tray. Quinn was very comfortable and warm from both the sweater and jacket given by Griffin, it smelled slightly rocky and slightly citrusy, something that Quinn wanted more of.

Quinn lays on his side, facing Griffin as he tucks his knees to his chest, making the hoodie and jacket bunch up to his face. He was incredibly comfortable in his position and continued to savor his bread with a brown and red inside. Quinn blinks a few times before speaking up in a small voice, "Why..." This causes Griffin to turn from some papers that he was writing on. "Why are you helping me."

Quinn watches as Griffin shifts in his seat and he clears his throat.

"W-well... You are an injured werewolf, of course, we would take you in and heal you."

Quinn pushes the last piece of the bread past his lips but his eyes don't leave Griffin.

"But I'm not an alpha," He watches as Griffin tilts his head at his statement. Why would they help someone who isn't an alpha?

Griffin's eyebrows narrow before answering, "What do you mean? It doesn't matter what your secondary gender is, if you are a werewolf then we will help..."

Quinn goes quiet for a moment, he had a weird gut feeling and he couldn't point out why. He wraps the jacket closer and sniffs it a bit. He has only heard of that before, caring for someone despite their secondary gender by his parents, so hearing it from someone else felt off.

Griffin suddenly speaks up during the silence, "Why would your secondary gender matter?"

Quinn shifts his knees closer to his chest and glances down at his hands before answering, "That's how I thought it always is... Alphas are the strongest and they are the most useful, Omegas are made for breeding and aren't useful, betas were to be sent on the most dangerous missions since they have some worth... I just... Don't understand why to help someone who resembles a beta."

Quinn hears a low growl from Griffin and instantly raises his head to hide his face.

I should have said that am an alpha- I should have said that I am an alpha

"Who taught you this?" Griffin lows his growl and lets out a heavy sigh

"P-Pack! M-My pack! T-they taught me" Quinn's tongue starts to feel heavy in his mouth, his words becoming slurred as he struggles to get the muscles in his tongue to comply. Quinn feels a warm hand wrap around his wrist, he jolts, expecting a punch or two, maybe a hand would wrap around his throat and-

"QUINN!"

Quinn shakes his head and lets out a sod, not wanting to open his eyes, fearing that maybe he was going to get stabbed in the eye again-

"QUINN!"

Finally, Quinn slowly opened his eyes to notice that Griffin had pulled his hand to his face, making Quinn cup his cheek. Griffin's eyes are just as desperate as his voice, "Look at me, look at me, please darling" Quinn's breath was starting to hiccup when he finally looked up into Griffin's eyes, he looked a bit blurry from all the tears but he still saw the soft eyes of the alpha.

Griffin shushes him gently while a callused thumb wipes away any tears.

"I know- I'm sorry I growled I shouldn't have. I scared you didn't I? I'm sorry, can you forgive me? It's all my fault, I know" Quinn feels a hand move from his cheek to his hair, fingers running through it and scratching his scalp gently. Quinn's shaking hands moved to his forearm, trying his best to pull away but something inside of him wanted to accept what he was feeling, wanted more, and wanted to relax...
