Once he gets close enough, he wraps his arms around you and pulls you flush to him, and brings his mouth to your ear. "Like what you see Cara Mia?"

If you could blush you would be bright red. You could feel him; his abs and his toned arms. You were just glad yet again you couldn't blush.  "Yes," you state quietly, so quietly even Demetri struggled to hear; but he found it even more adorable. His little mate; was shy like a doe and beautiful like a butterfly; how perfect you were. To him, it was an erratic feeling of you in his grasp, tucked into his side.

"So you like books, what else amore mio?" Demetri questions, leaning his head down onto your neck. Breathing in, he had never felt so perfect, so at home; his mate in his arms, his little butterfly. "I like uhh... old art; painting preferably but sketching is fine," you slightly ramble out. "Beautiful," Demetri mumbles, pressing a light kiss to your neck. Thinking back, you wonder out loud, "What about the Kings?" "Yes, but they said when you settle farfalla (butterfly)," Demetri replies. "We don't need to rush cara mia." "Yes I know, but I don't want to keep them waiting Demetri," you reply. Oh, how your name sounded off his mate's sweet lips; like heaven. "Just five more minutes Thea, I want to know more about you care mia," Demetri replies, wanting to listen to your delicate voice and know your likes and dislikes. While saying this, he leads you to the bed where he sits down and allows you to cuddle up into his side. "Well, um, I'm Greek, I was the youngest child of two. I was born around 1200 AD, I lived in a little city, my family wasn't the richest but we were happy. I think I was 19 when I was turned," you rant. As you look at Demetri after saying those things you only find him focused on staring at you.

"What?" you question slightly nervous you had said too much. "Tell me if you want me to stop because I won't," Demetri says his eyes now staring at your lips as he starts leaning in. Your eyes met his, but you didn't say anything; "Cara mia?" he questions still leaning in. "Don't sto..." you start but before the second word is out of your mouth, his lips are on yours. Gentle, slow, not what you expected. His hand had reached up and was holding the back of your neck, pulling you even closer. After a while, the kiss got more passionate as he pulled you onto his lap. Demetri, not wanting to push you anymore pulls back and rests his forehead against yours, you still straddling him. "That was..." you start. "Perfect," Demetri interrupts, his hands finding yours, gently rubbing circles onto them. "I was going to say wonderful, but yeah that works," you finish.

"As much as I want to stay here, the Kings are expecting us," Demetri says solemnly, not wanting to break up the moment. "Yeah, I guess so," Getting up and out of his grasp, he quickly gets up and goes back to holding the curve of your back, leading you towards the door, "After you, Cara Mia."

Going through the hallways felt endless, you'd have to ask someone to help you get around. Once you made it to the big doors, Demetri let go of you to push open the doors. Once they're opened he holds his hand out for you, beckoning you towards him. Walking quickly, human pace not vampire pace you place your smaller hand in his. Walking towards the three thrones that had the leaders on them and the highest-ranked guards (minus Demetri)  around them. Aro, distinctly in the middle stands up giddily, "Welcome darling Thea, to Volterra."
