"i'm busy!" talia yelled to the boys from her room.

she had sweatshirts and crew-necks scattered and piled on top of each other all over her full sized bed. the many different colors of her tops made her mind run wild, making her overwhelmed.

talia grabbed another black hanger from her bedside table and chose a light pink crew-neck she had laid out. as she pulled he neck of the top over the hanger, she couldn't help but remember the first time she wore it.

talia scoffed.

her head wobbled side to side and she shoved the shirt and hanger onto the closet rack with some aggression. as she did so, her foot kicked a box sitting at the bottom of her cluttered closet.

"what is this?"

she bent down and picked the tan shoe box up off the floor. it was dusty on top and covered in dents and scratch marks. as the top of the box came off, a worn-out pair of white shoes appears in her sight.

"what's got your attention?"

talia spun around to see soobin waltzing into their shared room. she held the shoes up for him to see and not much impression was held between either of them for her find.

"dirty shoes?" he asked.

talia shrugged, "their old, i had them when i first came to south korea and i guess they just held memory."

soobin nodded. he closed the shoe box that she held and looked up at her. he noticed that her eyes stayed glued to the box and didn't even peel off when he shut the top.

"are you letting them go?"

"i think i should."

"okay, i'll help you." soobin expressed.

he cupped the shoe box in his hands and waited until she was ready to let go of them. it took only a few seconds until she fully let go of the box and let her hands slide down to her sides.

soobin walked to his bed, placed the box on top of his blue comforter, and looked back at talia.

"anything you are ready to get rid of we can put right here." he pointed to his bed.

those shoes got her through her first few years in south korea, her first relationship, and all of the training she went through to get to TXT.

talia nodded, "perfect."

the cleaning out of her cluttered closet started rearranging her memories and her life. some of these clothes, shoes, and accessories just needed to go to clear her mind.

talia continued to pull random boxes and bags out of her closet to look through, leaving the piles of tops on her bed a second thought. soobin stood close by and took hold of anything talia said she no longer wanted.

after an hour and a half, soobin and talia were nearly half way into talia's "spring cleaning".

"i wish i hated this stuff." talia spoke up as she handed a yellow and blue long sleeve top to soobin with a shove.

soobin grasped the top, "what do you mean?"

she turned around and looked at him. she threw another shirt she didn't want onto soobin's bed and sat on the edge of her own.

"i actually really like these shirts and shoes," she pointed at the pile she didn't want, "but i wish i hated them because they hold memories i don't want to remember."

soobin joined her on the edge of her comfy bed. he threw his arm around her shoulders and pulled her closer to him. talia leaned her head against his shoulder and sighed aloud.

"those memories are in the past. i know you might have an emotional connection, but you're on a different path right now."

talia pulled away and locked eyes with the boy. she smiled proud and hugged soobin tightly. it was so simple, yet it's what she needed to hear.

once she let go of him she stood up, brushed her hair away from her face, and waved him up.

"we have more to finish, cmon!"
