The Boss's Boss

Context: Avril and Julia have been in a relationship for 3 years and got engaged 5 months ago.

Avril - CEO of her self made firm, hard working, resilient, top, lover.

Julia - Architect, hard working, shy, bottom, lover.

Avril's POV:

On the way to our dinner date I forgot that I left the present I bought her in my office drawer. So now we are enroute to my firm to pick it up.

As a private person I have never enclosed my personal life to the people in my professional life, except my lawyer. The people in my personal life knows about my professional life but not the other way around. So I was kinda nervous to ask her since it will be her first time visiting the office in person.

I squeezed my hand on her thigh, "Love, would it be okay if we stop by at my office for a minute on our way? I just have to pick something."

Her face lit up."Finally!?" she said.

"Will it be okay with you?" I asked.

"Are you kidding? After all these years I finally get to visit your cave. Let's go!" she wiggled in her seat.

She's hyped. I know I should've taken her a long time ago, but it's just I don't like people I barely know personally meddling with my personal life.

We both help each others with our business. We share what's going on on a daily basis, give tips that we think might work in managing, come up with ideas, problem solving techniques, finances, everything.

Seeing her excited reduced my nervousness.

Reaching there in five minutes, I parked the car right in front of the entrance. It's already late, everyone would've gone home, except for a few.

I got out and circled the car to open her door.

I looked at her, unsure. She smiled and nodded her head once reassuring me.

See? She knows me to my bones. Here I am, nervous for her but she is the one giving me the courage. Man, I locked the right one.

I opened the door for her and saw the receptionist getting ready to leave.

"Ms. Avril? Is everything alright?" she asked surprised seeing me since I left only an hour ago for the night.

"All good. Has everyone left?" I asked.

"The last few left a couple minutes ago and I was about to head out" she said.

"You may leave. I'm just here to grab something, I'll be out in a minute" I said and turned to my girl.

"Love, can you wait here? I will not take more than a minute"

"But I want to see your office" she wined silently so that only I can hear her.

"I know, but the thing is..." I paused embarrassed.

Her face became serious.

I exhaled "Basically we are here cause I left your present at my table draw. I cannot have you see your present now cause it has to wait till the dinner" I rambled embarrassed.

A shy smile lit her face and she hit me lightly where my employee cannot see "Get lost, you doofus".

I smiled "There is a lounge in there.."

She stopped me mid sentence, "Babe I know every nook and corner of this place. You do remember you installed the live security camera footage in my mobile too right? Which I sometimes might use to sneak up on you"
